Art and Resilience in Small and Mid-Sized Communities, Guests from Juneau, AK and Kalamazoo, MI

What insights can we gain from mid-sized and smaller communities as they strive to support thriving artistic communities? In light of the current economic conditions affecting the county, how have communities of this particular size category demonstrated resilience in the face of these challenges, and what can we learn from their experiences? Joining us are three remarkable art leaders, representing two unique geographical regions, but all sharing an unwavering commitment to nurturing the arts in their communities.
This session kicks-off with a comprehensive overview from our team of researchers who will outline the data-driven approach used to assess a community’s vibrancy by examining supply, demand and public support for arts and culture on a per capita basis.
