How come everyone in School of Life has a narrator's voice as sweet as honey?
@gothsurferdude8 жыл бұрын
+Iesvilla Lucretius said it made the 'bitter draught' of important yet complex information go down easier. Granted, I think he was talking about using poetry at the time, but I think a calming, gentle voice has the same effect. Dr. Roxburgh and Alain de Botton have mastered this, in my opinion.

I'm from Padua, and I grant you that this zone of Italy is filled with this kind of architecture: there are lots of "ville", holiday houses for the renaissance nobles or rich merchants who lived in Venice during the rest of the year to make business. If you want relaxing holidays in a sunny, calm place where you can see pieces of art like these, come visit us!
Please, make more videos about art/architecture and literature. You post videos like this so rarely and there are many subjects to cover.

Watching this beautiful lesson, I remembered that on his speech about him, John Armstrong said that Goethe had this need to search for soul mates from the cultural past. And one of his soul mates was Andrea Palladio. It was like having an "imaginary friend". So Goethe would have long conversations with him there inside his head. How very practical! This made me think that if we wanted to adapt Goethe's habit, Hannah would be a great imaginary friend for us too:-) An excellent teacher with such a beautiful mind and pure voice. In fact, probably as many of us do, I also remember the valuable insights of these lessons always with Hannah's voice. By the way, for all friends who are as ignorant as myself about architecture, I highly recommend Alain's great documentary " The Perfect Home", which you can find on his other youtube channel. Here is the line I loved the most from there: " Beauty is goodness written into matter."

Andrea Palladio (30 November 1508 - 19 August 1580) was an Italian architect active in the Republic of Venice. Palladio, influenced by Roman and Greek architecture, primarily by Vitruvius, is widely considered to be the most influential individual in the history of architecture. All of his buildings are located in what was the Venetian Republic, but his teachings, summarized in the architectural treatise, The Four Books of Architecture, gained him wide recognition. The city of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

IT IS MONUMENTAL in proportion though Andrea Palladio work destined to influence architecture up to the end of time… matter of simplicity, then symmetry form acquired its finest enriching upon the classic orders enactment. We shall call him The Tuscan Architect as he intentionally conspired with God to intermingle his divine inspiration through the very serenity of nature. Humane into highest impersonation of the self… heart and soul are taken into complete sublimation through invigorating thus harmonious habitat, where the observer is privileged to fool the passing of the ages through an imaginative arch of grandest statue and frescos designed to attain unlimited inventiveness and unimaginable rejuvenating living. Very interesting! I’d like to know more about the geometrics used in Palladio architecture, is their meaning or a symbiology connected with these shapes? For example, on the same building one row of windows are decorated with triangular hoods, but others have domed hoods - what is the significance of that?
