Thank you for following up on my request. I’ve learnt a lot on colours & shapes and also placement so once again thank you👏👏👏 If you’d like to take it to the next level can you show me/us how to do one using a ‘real photo’ of a real place (like the main feature or building in your home town or city) by adding on outlines & shapes to the building & then filling in the various shapes with flat pastel like colours. Yes it’s a big request but I’m sure if this one is really really successful then doing a real photo one would be the icing on the cake 😉. (Plus hardly any drawing would be involved 😃)

Now that i've tried a basic version I would be more than happy to try a more advanced version with a real picture in the near future. Thank you again!

Fabulous video, I love anything art deco and this was fantastic, I’m fairly new to Affinity but can’t wait to have a go at this. Just discovered your channel, it’s great, you got a new subscriber 😊

@9:50 "I have no idea ABOAT sailing . . . " I grew up in northern Wisconsin and I know a Canadian when I hear one ;) As a sailor, I will forgive your boat. I work almost entirely in Photo, and forget the Transparency tool in Designer. The process in Photo (v1) is kludgy, but in Designer it's so easy. Watching someone else work is always helpful.

I have to go back and listen to myself.. i always hear Canadians talk like that but I never believed it... time to check the tape! (or digital recording now I guess..) Thank you so much for watching!

@@bydesignmethod Everyone from northern Wisconsin secretly wants to go home to Canada anyway. When we moved to LA 55 years ago everyone asked what part of Canada we were from.

Beautiful illustration. At 17:20, there was a brief clip of an edge that made it look like the image was torn from a spiral note book. Looked great! How was that accomplished? Thanks for your work.

Hey, I use a site called RaxPixel for mockups sometimes (you can also do them in Affinity but this site is quick, super clean and helpful) rawpixelltd.sjv.io/5gNzb2

I noticed Dreamphography 2 in your Brushes. Is that another version, or have you used that folder for your most-used Dreamphography brushes?

The three dots should be set as a default within Affinity Photo 2. Try going to 'Window > Studio > Reset Studio'
