I was able to buy artist-grade paints, watercolor papers, and brushes that would have cost me a lot more money if I had bought them from new. Wonderful! I love getting second-hand art supplies. Store all your watercolour paper in sealed plastic to preserve the sizing for longer.

I buy second hand art supplies all the time, as long as you are sensible about what you buy and don’t get things that dry out/break it is a great way to save money.

I’ve bought lots of wonderful second hand Art materials or craft room clear out materials from eBay & vinted over the last year . I find it’s so much better to purchase second hand than to purchase new . I find if you can find a good bargain then grab as quickly as you can because someone will be thinking just like you if they too want to save money on buying new/used Art materials. But word of warning, if you check first on Amazon or Art supply stores because what you may think sometimes is a bargain, may not and on those occasions it may be best to purchase new and with free delivery if the online Art stores they may have offers & discounts . So shop wisely and always check & shop around but most of the time you’ll know yourself if it’s a good bargain, in that case grab quickly. Oh yes and always check the sellers reviews from buyers as well .

Yes, me too, I always check the price of new to make sure it’s really a bargain and if it’s worth to buy second hand. When the bargain is really good, I buy straight away before someone else gets it 😁. Thanks for watching.

Wow, Monica! Did you ever do well in finding this trove of material! The man who had them originally would probably be so glad they landed up with someone who spent the time to clean, make them useable and enjoy working with them! I have occasionally serendipitously found painting supplies at thrift/charity stores, garage sales and fb marketplace ( though not anything like you!) and I was pretty happy 😂! Another yt person,Karin Mutch in Australia also recently shared a number of her finds! You might like to check her story!

This was the best art treasure trove I found so far, but I have bought more watercolor tubes of paints from another person and more recently I have got some amazing watercolor books for a fraction of the price of the new ones. My collection of watercolor books is growing, I already have 13 books, all bought from Vinted, FB Marketplace, and charity stores. I also got a brush roll folder for only £1 at a charity store. When I'm out and about, I'm always on the lookout for art supplies. I will check Karin's story. Thanks for watching!

I've gotten so many good supplies I wouldn't have otherwise by getting them used. I buy new, too, to fill in the things I couldn't find in those used lots, but a ton of my supplies (especially watercolor tubes) were used.

Facebook Marketplace, Vinted, eBay. The bundle from the video I have got from someone on Marketplace. But I have also got a few other things on Vinted.
