So grateful this piece was made celebrating the Belcourt's rich history and its profound contribution to our middle Tennessee's culture!

Always worth the 2 1/2 hour drive to see the one-of-a-kind movies they get! Love 'em! The first screening I attended was "My Neighbor Totoro" during a Miyazaki month. The entire theater was packed of kids and families watching such a pure and perfect film. I'm fond of my "Frances Ha" experience 'cause it was the first new release I saw there (that no theater in my neighboring state screened). My favorite one, however, was a midnight screening of my all-time favorite film: Scream (1996). Also, seeing Todd Solondz's Wiener-Dog in a small, packed screening room the weekend they reopened was quite an experience too ;)

I had my first and only (so far) experience with The Belcourt is 12 hours of terror in 2018 and I can't wait to go back.

Yeah, I'll have to make the trip on up there. Maybe I'll bike up the Natchez Trace to get there. It'll be worth the journey.

yeah, it has a nice John Lurie score as well... they could commission a new episode of Fishing With John w/ Mary Kay Place for the supplements
