Wow, I cannot tell you how this video has affected me so I thank most of all all the people listed at the end who are involved in making it and I thank the artist who is so calm and wise in telling her story. This is the kind of story that is so inspiring for us artists who are also going through the same process. I am in Vermont with a studio and garden and enjoy hearing from a kindred spirit. I sometimes feel isolated and alone but hearing this artist speak makes me feel less so

Thank you for this. I live similar to her at age 63, and started painting 5 years ago. Nice to see older women I can relate to, so I don't have to think there is something wrong with me when I prefer to sit and enjoy the silence, instead of being on the move and entertained with people.

When I was in my 20s, 30s, 40s I sewed clothing and Quilts. My eyes began to change and I couldn’t see properly to sew. This was a great loss. Unexpectedly I started to paint with oil, portraits on canvas. My eyes are fine with painting. To make art is my identity. I make art because of desire. Anyone can be an artist. All you need is desire. Thank-You for a lovely video. I’m 75 now, painting for about 20 years.

Excellent. This lady speaks about art in the way it is meant to be spoken. Without explanation she explains the feelings of creating and not being able to create along with the process of listening to the "muse" and acceptance that it is not always present. Creatives know when the flow is upon them and the almost desolation of when it's not. Anne Ngan is a treasure.
