This is one of my favorite ideas for an art journal, especially when I am feeling down. Start by writing down all of your feelings, anxieties, etc. Then start to layer over the words with acrylics. I like to use colors that make me happy and simple shapes, especially florals. By the time I’m done, my negative feelings are gone and I have a beautiful piece of art.
