This is a great suggestion. Some time it would be great if you would do a video on how you store raw materials, substrates, paint, mediums, tools, resource guides, and trays of collage materials. In a small studio, it is tricky to keep them all organized yet easy to get at.

Mrs. Adele, I find you so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your gift. Your joy for the process is contagious. One page I’ve taken from your book is to use a viewfinder to find small compositions to cut out from a larger painting. I used to get upset when an abstract piece didn’t work out compositionally but now I can pull out mini paintings and find some joy where I used to only feel frustration. I’ve been pasting the mini paintings in my sketchbook and drawing “frames” around them, like a little gallery wall. It makes me so happy. thanks you, Adele, this idea is helpful. Another idea to share is a library guide explaining how to use each type of marker in terms of what type of medium it can go on top of and if it needs some type of fixative etc. I get so confused in terms of what medium i can use a particular mark making tool over when building layers and if an isolation coat or some other sealing agent is needed on top of it. thanks

For me I use all these markers and pens on my abstract paintings and only put fixative, acrylic medium, on my oil pastels. And if I put a lot of markers on one layer then I do add an isolation coat.

Great idea! I'm curious, do you actually store them vertically? I was always told to store them on their sides so they don't dry out.

I don't worry too much about my markers drying out since I use them so often- I just store them the way that it's convenient. But definitely go with what works for you!

Do the solid Sakura markers fully dry/cure?

Yes, they do. I use them all the time.
