Thanks for the review! Would you consider doing a loose beginner tutorial for the flowers you painted? They are beautiful and would make a great spring card!

Can you pop out the paint from the pan? There are so many yellows, I’d like to replace them with colors I use more.

You could try but the pand are glued in.

That sheen would be nice for painting greeting cards, I think, as it would make them appear mildly embossed. Great review, Lindsay! I love so many mediums but watercolour has worked its way into and around my heart after my class with you.

how are they at going through paper? I use a crayola palette and the paint is kinda waxy/gel-ish so it goes through the paper on the green or blue. but the "dry" cakes from art kits are my favorite cuz they're bright but don't go through even printer paper if careful
@thefrugalcrafter4 жыл бұрын
They should stay on the top of the paper. They act like chinese watercolor that is thicker and bleed less. Hope that helps.

Your reviews are so thorough and enjoyable to watch, Lindsay! Thank you for such a detailed review of our 72-set. By the way, the color codes on the swatch sheet that comes with it are actually the Pantone colors so if you enter them in the search bar on www.pantone.com/color-finder it’ll pull up a little info about that color 😊

What is the pallet that you put your Gansi Tambi watercolors in? I also don't like their box. Thanks.
@thefrugalcrafter5 жыл бұрын
It is the tin that you used to get when you bought the 6 qor tube sets. It's awesome but they made the tins smaller when people complained that they were too big (can you imagine?) So now you need to order the 24 set for the larger tin.
@pdquilt15 жыл бұрын
@@thefrugalcrafter I just looked at the price for that, wow! I got this set from Amazon Royal & Langnickel Large Tin Watercolor Painting Art Set for $10.25 and removed the stuff inside. The tin works pretty well and the foam that comes packed in it I cut up and put in the top and bottom edges of the tin to keep the pans from sliding around. So far so good. Thanks for your response.

I use a lot of greens and blues. I would love a set of each color, and some metallic colors. I wonder if they would fade like the pastel shades. Edit: I didn't realize professional-grade paints cost so much. Wow. I think I'll stick to the student-grade paints.I enjoy mixing my own colors. Saves on budget!

Hi Lindsay! Do you use a stamp or printed out computer page for your swatch layout? Same for the swatch color circles?

I use a rubber stamp from waffle flower but they also have a free printable.

Thank you for the great review. Off topic, though...I see you point at colors and say those are cool or those are warm, and I'm still thinking, 'why can't I see and understand that?'. I started understanding color bias a little more, but not enough to really help. Perhaps you've already done an in-depth video on the subject; if so, please direct me to it. Thanks, Lindsay.

Easiest thing I found for those cases that make the paint bead up, is to spread a thin layer of white toothpaste on it and wipe it off, works like a charm

Fun fact: that is often a trick divers use to get the layer of protective substance off of dive masks to keep them from fogging as much when underwater.
