Thank you Mary Lynn. I'm overwhelmed with this! I lived here in a historic townhome on Governors Island in 1987-1989, the "art is dead" years! I was the senior architect and projects manager for the Island when it was inhabited by the US Coast Guard. Those were some nice times. I spent many afternoons and evenings and weekends in Soho galleries, China Town, Little Italy, museums, and antiques auctions. It was great to have Manhattan just 5 minutes away. The night views of Manhattan were stunning to see outside my bedroom window! I left there to live in LA and then SF and on around the world until I settled in Texas. It's so nice having old memories refreshed in the eyes and mind. Thank you. Governors Island were initially occupied by native American Indians, later on the Army, then Navy and finally USCG. Love your music. Thanks again.

From France ( Metz) After Florange ( Usines sidérurgiques) for 18 years...to ho where ??? In Italy ! A museum a ciel ouvert. In Tuscany. Between sea and little mountains. Thé ligne is marvellous. What a pleasure to Travel in this way and discover houses with so ecclectic pièces of art. Thank you

Wonderful tour of Governor’s Island. I agree, seeing art installed in the kitchens adds a familiar & quirky reference to how we incorporated art into our lives. I also enjoyed the placement of pieces flat on the floors of the NADA houses. Terrazzo dog - nice, too.

That shade of pink on the wall sculpture is disturbing, maybe supposed to be, the tripping heads in the kitchen too. Looks like a nice place for Army brats to have grown up. Thanks for the visit.
