They played this on Amazon's Bosch. (Season 7 - Episode 5)

I went to two nights of the fortnight he played at Ronnie's, where this was recorded, not the nights the LPs were recorded at, sadly. Two of the best jazz gigs I've been to, they were the sort of gig where the band starts playing...and suddenly it's two hours later, and you've no idea where the time went. Incredible.

A very important record. The great Art Pepper at his very best. To me this album sounds better the Village Vanguard recordings. A great band. Laurie Pepper writes about the gig and the musicians in the liner notes booklet in the Hollywood Sessions Box set. Thanks very much for uploading and sharing this very valuable important album!

An amazing record from a great artist. I spoke to Art at a jazz festival in Knebworh in the late 1970's and he was a real gentleman to me and my small son John. Many thanks for the posting

Bought this amazing music as two albums when they were first released on the London based Mole Jazz label. The label and record shop of the same name in Kings Cross went out of existence some years ago, as far as I know. Still have the albums and the music still thrills. Many thanks for uploading.

Same here. I also bought this album at Mole. I cant find the record anymore and I cant find this track on any cd. Art is simply sublime here. Thanks

I was living near Mole at the time as a student and think I bought my copy there also.

Me too. I love these albums. I don't care much for early AP but with ML they are both superb

The multi-mike analogue recording was mixed live to two track stereo without noise reduction, limiting, compression or equalization and when Ray Staff cut the original lacquers back in 1980 he used no noise reduction, limiting, compression or equalization (other than RIAA of course!).
