I hope that you appreciated my comment yesterday, Art. Your health should come first and why are you still doing these games with your health worsening. People would understand you taking some time off to nurse yourself back to health. Kenny and other U-Tubers have taken necessary breaks for their personal circumstances. The decision is yours and not ours. We only want what is best for you, Art. I would greatly appreciate getting a response back from you. Also, ditching the SPELLING BEE at this time is the wise choice for you. 🤔

very clever strands - the words often have aa shape that looks like the word and today's is a great example with circle being a circle and fellowship being a ring

I had a miracle solve today. I was about to give up and just guess random words for the yellow category on Connections since I couldn't find the fourth word. I burned 3 guesses and went with "Vex" for the fourth guess, and I was right. I also wasn't sure about the green category, but I was able to get it in one unconfident guess. And then, it clicked. I was able to guess the Blue Category once I figured out those were Toy Story characters, and I was so happy, that I didn't even guess the purple category! I had "Apple____" as an initial guess, but I forgot about it.

Nice. I couldn't recover. I did get light blue right away, but I was blown away by the confusion presented by the yellow and green categories. I just couldn't sort them out, so there went my 4 guesses. POX is not a common word for a curse and VEX I just associated with getting angry, not getting confused so that wasn't a consideration either.

If you started with Pox then you wouldn't have used any guesses. Hipfellows should've been the SPANGRAM 😂😊

Having seen a few people explain "pilled", it's totally unknown over here. I don't really think of "hardcore" as being a suffix, its just a single compound word (you can say something has a "soft core", but that's written as two words). That one didn't make a lot of sense... but at least I somehow got the film one despite only having heard of Buzz (I reasoned that a Slinky was a toy therefore could be in it). "Pox" in that sense sounds really, really old fashioned: "a pox on you!"

I was fine in Wordle/Strands, but not so much in Connections. I am hoping that family members/friends are knocking some sense into you about getting better. Your health should always be your number one priority, Art. You should work with your doctor and take a leave of absence from these games. Be smart and don't allow your stubbornness of not slowing down to neglect your health.

I'll make you feel better. I failed this one, I only found liight blue which I got right away. Usually the Entertainment stuff goes over my head. This time, it's the only thing I got! I wonder if I'll repeat that scenario! You could say today's Connections PUZZLEd / STUMPed / PERPLEXed me. It did not VEX me, however, since it didn't make me angry. Tomorrow's another day. You could say there was a HEX a SPELL and a JINX over me preventing me from solving the puzzle. Not POX, because I didn't break out in spots. I did try putting VEX PUZZLE and PERPLEX into this category, burning 3 guesses in the process, LOL After the purple reveal, I still didn't get it.

I’ll try to explain. These are suffixes used in modern slang that you can add to general concepts to give a certain meaning. Mania is something you can add to a fad - think of like beatlemania to explain the craze over the band. Pilled you can add to things like red-pilled or black-pilled to mean a group of people following a certain ideology. Gate is a suffix added to controversies for example watergate or gamergate. Core is often used in music genres like metalcore or hardcore or trap core, etc. the idea of the category is that these suffixes can be added to new words to describe concepts in a way that is generally understood. It’s a tough idea to explain exactly and is an honestly insane connections category.

Add them on to words to quickly name a trend / event. Some of those have been around a while: Watergate (the original) leading to Gamergate to give a more modern example of -gate for a scandal; Beatlemania was mentioned by Art, and people talk about Trump-mania etc. I think -pilled and -core are more modern slang, eg red-pilled - I'm not so sure of a -core example.

Nice wordle. A three for me. Failed Connections I got yellow and green and then stumbled over popular suffixes until i ran out of guesses didn't know the toy story characters to help me sort them out

I enjoy doing the Spelling Bee myself and watching how well you are able to do it. You have an amazing vocabulary. It may be that people who are watching your channel for Wordle are simply not interested in Spelling Bee which has its own community attached to the game. Wordle is a great quick game for anybody who has a couple minutes to spare. Spelling Bee would definitely not be for everyone just as the NYT large crossword or Sudoku are not for me. Do what is best for you and your channel. On another note, at the risk of sounding like your mother, you need to see a doctor, get an X-ray and a prescription for a puffer or antibiotics. Your chest cough has gone on much too long and may be walking pneumonia or a bronchial infection but definitely needs to be looked at. Take care of yourself.

I said the same thing to Art yesterday about his possibly having walking pneumonia/bronchitis , but he chose not to respond to me. I also mentioned the same thing about his hopefully seeing a doctor. Art unfortunately can be very stubborn and will do his own thing despite what others might say. We know that Art is usually very good at these games, but his number priority at this time should be to get better/take a leave of absence from these games.

Maybe take a break from spelling bee and when you are healthy again you could reconsider picking it up again. Also, spelling bee could be a once a week bonus game for the recordings if you decide to not record it daily.
