happy to watch your art supply review and demo for drawing :D it is really interesting for try different kind of art supply to find out what is our favor tools. but sometime other's review really help us to select :D thanks you

I understand about the fun art supplies and the not so fun ones. When I was in college, we had a set of watercolours that no matter how much water you put on, the pigment was always weak, I could never pull off a lot of pigment. However now I have a set where a drop of water gets all the pigment and I LOVE them! :D So that's my example of fun and not so fun supplies.

Nice review :) It's a cute little set of watercolor brushes. Love the artwork!

Thanks for the review. I enjoy learning to Watercolor with these brush pens. They give me more control then a traditional set. After much more practice with brush pens set, I'll get brave and try traditional ones again. You make it look so easy😊

I want to work on painting in school this year, specifically watercolors. Do you think this would be a good thing to purchase in order to get used to watercolors? I do have experience with Copic markers and I am not very good at using normal watercolor sets. I was looking to get something that would be good for carrying around in school and I am debating between this and the Koi watercolor field sketch kit.
@onyana9 жыл бұрын
Phantomhive I would get the koi field sketch kit. True watercolor paint is so much fun. You will be surprised at the amazing effects you achieve. Just watch a few videos that give tips on using watercolor paints and you will be fine. Watercolor paint looks soooo much better than watercolor markers, I promise you.

Cute drawing! These look cool :D I just have a question: Does the marker ( Without putting water on it) Still give the watercolour effect? And also, what do you mean by how the water colour doesn't stay in one place?
@LemiaCrescent9 жыл бұрын
+Horsey Content No, it doesn't give the watercolor effect unless you use water. With watercoloring in general you need to be concerned about the amount of water being placed down on the paper because it'll make the pigment drift and expand outward creating unwanted marks (unless you do it on purpose of course).
@HorseyContent9 жыл бұрын
LemiaCrescent Ah, okay, thanks! So if I put a little bit of water on a section it's fine? :)
@LemiaCrescent9 жыл бұрын
Horsey Content If you lay down the marker and then put water and it touches the marker it'll bleed the color outwards like watercolor. It depends what you're trying to do
@HorseyContent9 жыл бұрын
LemiaCrescent Okay, thank you!
@mercym56498 жыл бұрын
Um, I have a question. When you use these like regular markers do they behave like water based or alcohol based makers or something different? Amazing drawing by the way :)
@LemiaCrescent8 жыл бұрын
+Merciee Games Using straight marker the color it lays really nicely. You will want to dilute it to get more gentle blending as the colors are very saturated (like for skin and stuff you should use water/colorless blender)

I'm taking a basic art course for my high school class, I need a marker set and I was hoping to get into using them n general, would you recommend these? Or something else? I'm a bit tight so I need to stay on a budget so I can't really get copics because of all the other things I need
@LemiaCrescent9 жыл бұрын
+Designated Unknown Music Yup these would work for a HS art class. They're much cheaper than copics and this set of 24 has a really nice color selection. :) Just be sure that the class is not picky about the markers being water based or alcohol based.

or you could do the exact same thing for much less and for a lot more markers with crayolas. but these seem really great too i just feel like crayola would be more worth it.
@SKGOStudios8 жыл бұрын
Crayolas are not brushes though
@bookisland65158 жыл бұрын
+SKGO 6 but you can blend crayolas with water. that's what i meant
@bookisland65158 жыл бұрын
+bookisland especially since she used the brush to use the color instead of putting it directly with the marker. THATS what i really meant.
@LemiaCrescent8 жыл бұрын
+bookisland These are advertised as watercolor brush pens so I use them with water. Crayola markets their markers as "washable," they're meant to teach children how to use an ink marker not the concept of watercoloring, they have a watercolor set for that. As markers alone, these are much better and I'm assuming as watercolors (not what crayola is meant to be) that these would outshine them as well. It's one of those things where you get what you pay for.
@bookisland65158 жыл бұрын
+LemiaCrescent Yes I agree with you that these markers would definitely be a lot better than crayolas. I just meant that you could do the same things with them I didn't mean for it to turn into this lol.

+Utonium Ph. D. Are you sure you started the ink flow? If you slowly roll the tip on the paper/ circular motions more of the white ink will flow out. Sometimes a few coats are needed if you're coloring on something super dark.
