Who else still thinks this is not broke enough for you😂😂 okay, wow. it's a year later. a whole different person. definitely not as happy and worry less as i was. stopped doing a lot of things i love, including art, so i completely forgot i wrote this. all i have to say is, no matter how much it hurts, it will get better. everything happens for a reason. you can't really do anything about it. one thing you can, is be as positive as possible. don't expect it to be so easy though. just keep trying, your here for a reason, that's why you're... well. *here* . just wanted to spread some positive energy. enjoy the rest of your morning, afternoon, evening or night. also. one thing. Black Lives Still Matter.

Hey, keep developing your skills and passion. My family was like that when I was younger, especially my siblings who don't think art is a serious career. If you put your heart and mind to it you can do it! If your family see you still trying to pursue art, they should eventually ease up on you and allow you to get supplies. Here's a few tips: If you need to make tracing paper, use normal printing paper and wipe cooking oil on it until it's gray then let it dry. When it's dry remember to use tissue to make sure there's no oil left onto it. Instead of art supplies, ask your parents for supplies for your class. Such as fine liners, biro pens, Sharpies, highlighters, pencils, notebooks. You can tell them you need certain items for different classes like Science, English, Math etc. They can be used for a variety of different things. If you can get old book pages, you can draw and paint onto them as a cheaper alternative. Cardboard can also be used to draw onto. If you're not allowed to buy paint, you could get food colouring and make up brushes to paint with. Use the lid of the food colouring to hold in the colour then have another cup for water. If you don't have money to buy a canvas, you can make one yourself with fabric and an old picture frame. If you like to draw digitally, I can recommend a free drawing app called Ibis Paint X. It's quite easy to learn and there's plenty of videos on how to use it. The only thing you have to think about is your phone storage. I even made my yt pfp with it. If you would like any other tips, feel free to ask
@papichulo99953 жыл бұрын

One of my cheap art hacks is reusing cereal boxes, cheese it boxes, and cutting them up to use as thick cardstock paper. I also use the "dividers" some items come with included in the package. And right now, I'm using the cardboard which is the stiffener in new shirts. Not that I bought any...my ex sent about fifty 12"x12"x1/8" pieces that someone who ran a now-defunct dry cleaner business had gifted her. She can't use them as she does collage style stuff and they're too weak for hotmelt glue and whatever else she adds.

Rae I love you, but for the crayon one you don't actually have to go out and buy the carving tool. In Echo's video she literally said that as a child she would pull the erasers out of pencils and flatten out the metal part and it worked just the same. Just wanted to point that out.
@flutterquake15 жыл бұрын
I think it would work with any kind of flat metal surface, such as a butter knife maybe. Personally I hate using crayons, but if you use cheap oil pastels and a tissue, you achieve pretty much the same effect.

The reason why adding water to colored pencils makes them more opaque is that the water mixes close parts of pigment with close bits of led, making a more watery and opaque texture and look.

The making your own carbon paper to transfer line images has been immensely helpful to me. If you can makeshift a light table (flashlight and glass square) , you can just trace the lines showing through on the back of the original with a dullish pencil and then re-trace on top to transfer, leaving much less residual graphite on either it or the copy. I use this method to add more intricate portions worked out separately to my pieces, and similar technique to nail symmetry.

Tips, Do from Pencils, Take some commission for cheap first then grow your art supplies and your commission price all the way up together ♥️ I've do that, My single mom couldn't afford to buy me any art supplies, so I just ask my mom a pencils like 3$ then Go to school or friends house ask for a sheet of A4 paper (they usually give you more than a sheet). Drawing something, practice then ask your friends if they want to pay you a for an art, then after few Commission you got you probably can buy some good art supplies on budget. Until now I was be able to buy my own laptop. Another tips, you don't need to make your art looks good everytime you draw, as long you have confident on your artwork, it'll be fun to draw without anxiety.

I use qtips for when I blend pencils. Also coffee and tea work surprisingly well as a kinda sorta watercolor replacement. It's not the same really, but it achieves a similar effect. My experience was with espresso powder. Obviously, this works better if you make a super concentrated cup. I actually boiled mine a little after the infusion, and it was indeed darker, and needed less layering after that. Then, I added gum Arabic, and it didn't quite work as well. However, I assume mulling your own watercolor using espresso powder as pigment would work well.
