Great video! I use Mr. Surfacer as a primer and it's great. What are the paints, acrylic? enamel? And how well do they stick to the vinyl? Do you have any problem with the paint scratching off? Do you need to clear coat overtop to protect it? Thanks.

Hi! I don't usually use a primer, just paint directly over the clean vinyl. I use enamel paints (mr. color) and they work very well and are scratch resistant, but the results vary depending on the vinyl, so I always use Mr. clear coat to protect it.

ゲッコウゴンは結構大きいんですね。 動画で大きさが分かって良かったです。 私はキングザールやゲッコウゴンくらいのサイズが好きです。 日本では手に収まるくらいの小さいソフビが多いです。 理由は外に持ち運び外で写真を撮るからです。 女性にも人気がありかわいいソフビが注目されています。

How does the Mr Color enamel compare to the Hikari vinyl color or VColor paint?

The Hikari are now my working paints. I like them better that Mr color. They are more resistant. I have a whole video about them.

What do you use to remove unwanted paint or strip the paint that would not damage the vinyl? Any tips?

I use thinner, applied with a cotton swap if needed. Or some kind of cloth with thinner. It’s the only thing that works.

What specific thinner could be used then? Do you think it would work on old paints?

Yes, it would work on older paints without a problem. I use Mr Color Thinner. You can use the leveling one or the Tool Cleaner one. Or just regular Vinyl Thinner if you can find one of those.
