I am not throwing shade here, but I just want to say that before this became the "Bri from Scratch" channel I would watch this channel occasionally. Now that Bri has taken over the channel, this has become my FAVORITE youtube channel to watch. I think maybe it's just the feminine voice/touch/style and Bri's personality. I watch this channel and get so motivated to garden and get things done. Thank you for all that you do to motivate, inspire, and TEACH all of us valuable skills, Bri. Huge supporter here!

Oh my goodness Bri the respect you give your kids when speaking to them comes back when they speak to you. I am helping out at a after school program and the way these parents speak and treat their children is just appalling! Thank you so much for the way you are raising your kids. I know it is not easy but you are such a breath of fresh air in this world.

‬‏ ‏‪8:00‬‏ Hi Bri and all the kids. I wanted to correct a very common mistake. A corn plant does not need bees or other insects for pollination. The corn needs a wind that spreads the pollen on the cobs. That is why the seeds are planted densely so that each plant will fertilize itself or the others. If there is no wind, you can pollinate manually by collecting the ripe pollen from the top of the plant and scattering it on the hairs of the cobs.
@MissBetsyLu

If rows are running north south (not East West) can plant in both sides of corn row. Otherwise corn will shade one row too much. Many blessings everyone.

To make the most of the garden space you have you can intensively plant. Look up square foot gardening. As an example, I plant beans 4” apart in all directions in the garden row, fitting 4 rows in the typical 30” bed. It leaves less room for weeds and more room for food!.
