I love the look of knotted pearls. It's kind of surprising that after all the years I've been doing beadwork, this is the first time I've looked into how to do it. Thanks!

I love pearl knotting. It takes longer to make necklaces and bracelets this way, rather than list stringing them, but it's worth the effort.

This is how I knot, I could never get proficient using the "knotting tool" and it isn't necessary! Good video on knotting!

Hi Roxana-Maria! What makes your necklace zig-zag and is it multi-strand? You can always post a picture of your design on the Artbeads.com facebook page, too. If we can see it, we might be able to better answer your question. Thanks!

This is how I knot too. It's simple and efficient. Could you please give me a piece of advice? I have a zig zag pearl necklace which is difficult to wear because it twists and turns, making the pattern difficult to notice when around my neck. The pearls don't have knots in between, so I thought that if I knot them, they will stay in place and the pattern will stay the way it's supposed to. Should I do that? If not, what other choice do I have to prevent them from twisting? It's not aesthetic..

What is the best most secure way to tie knots in your silk for attaching the clasp to a knotted pearl strand
@ArtbeadsVideos8 жыл бұрын
+EveryKneeWillBow777 Hi! We recommend using either French wire or a bead tip to securely attach a clasp to a knotted pearl strand. Learn how to use French wire here: www.artbeads.com/how-to-use-french-wire.html. And learn how to use a bead tip here: www.artbeads.com/how-to-use-a-closed-loop-bead-tip-blog.html. Hope this helps!

What type of string do you use. ?

Hi Chantal. We like to use Griffin silk bead cord for knotting between pearls. It is 100% silk and comes in a lot of fun colors. Find our selection here: www.artbeads.com/griffin-silk-bead-cord/ - Becky

@@ArtbeadsVideos Hi do I know which number I need?
@ArtbeadsVideos4 жыл бұрын
@@Pupsik952 It depends of the size of your bead holes. The cord has to be thick enough for the knot to be bigger than the hole in the bead. A nice average cord size will be a number 6 or 7. Hope that helps!
