Does the scanner work with fusion360 CAD program?

Yes, you can. From Artec Studio you can export the scan data in a format like STL or OBJ, and then import it into Fusion 360.

does the material need to have a matt surface color? (non-reflective) Or is this resolved? What with modelling the result into CAD/solidworks? Can I also scan objects smaller than 5 cm?

Hi! Great questions! Addressing them one-by-one: 1. Very shiny or reflective surfaces can sometimes be challenging. It's often recommended to coat such surfaces with spray or powder to optimize the scan quality. After capturing the 3D data, you can export the scans into software like SolidWorks using Artec Studio. You can use Geomagic for SOLIDWORKS plugin and export it in just one click: www.artec3d.com/3d-software/solidworks-cad 3. For objects smaller than 5 cm we recommend using Artec Micro (accuracy is up to 10 microns, resolution is up to 0.029 mm): www.artec3d.com/portable-3d-scanners/artec-micro
