My ex girlfriend and I used to put on repeat songs of this wonderful band while we were smoking and hugging... I remember we made love for first time while Apocalypse was being played. It's been five years now since she past away and I still can't believe how happy and at the same time how sad makes me feel Cigarettes After Sex. Still I'm here, and it has become a ritual for me to hear them every night... I wish she could be here with me, I'd hug her and kiss her till we fall asleep together.

It's not that hard in this case, actually. Their recordings are done more or less with the exact same gear they use live, so they just do what they do in the studio but all at once. I don't mean this to be condescending either, it's just that their style of music and choice of equipment is pretty damn close to what people were using in the 80's and 90's when there wasn't as much digital processing. They have an old school boomer rock n' roll setup and it makes it very easy to achieve an organic live sound.

The music of this group transports you to a spatial melancholy, leaving you floating between feelings, memories and guilt stored inside our minds and hearts. It minimizes you as a human being and makes you grow exponentially between its musical notes, introducing you to an unknown but pleasant universe at the same time. Undoubtedly I really like his songs and I enjoy them like having a glass of run with ice or brushing a sharp knife on my abdomen ... you feel danger and fear but you like it and a lot ... I haven't been "obsessed" with the music of a single artist or group in... well... probably about 40 years. CAS plays in the house, on repeat, day after day, often for many hours, sometimes until "Every Light Is Out" in the house at the end of the day. They weren't even born when I fell in love the first time, but they're the music that brings me back to the fist time my heart literally hovered over me, drifting into a place I'd never known before... & never since. From "The Night Train" (Romans 13:9) through ALL of the more recent... "I Can't Stop These Tears From Falling"... And to be honest? I don't want to. Look-up the definition... I am in "awe", and SO grateful that they've given this world their gift, and that I've been so fortunate to have found them.

I know, I herd his voice before I saw his face and thought it was a woman with a sultry voice! I was shocked, it was a guy, doesn’t matter, his voice is insane and the band, it’s perfect!

Apocalypse was the first song i heard of CAS and i can't explain what it made me feel. I was outside the club, walking with a friend in an empty resort ally and playing this song on loud. Still gives me the same chills whenever i listen to their songs that it gave that night 4 years ago

Mine was Crush. It was after hours in our office, before the pandemic. In a cozy weekday afternoon, I was staying late in the office to wait for my then girlfriend. It's weird but I can't forget the magical feeling when I heard this song and then my mind took a mental snapshot of that special moment in time. The weird thing being that there wasn't really anything special with that moment, it was just a normal day with nothing much happening, and yet I can remember it clearly because of this song.

heard it the first time i tripped with new friends from university, didnt realise it but it would be become the groups song when we partied and what played when i met a girlfriend of mine back then. lots of good yet melencoly type vibes from a time gone

These guys sound amazing live ! I had a chance to see them play in October of 2018 and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Their sound is very dreamy and melancholic 😌🖤

The hall sound where Cigarettes after sex is performing and the voice is just something so different. (low mellow soft pitch ) one of best spots to jam out where the place has its reverb (echo) just astonishing!

Dreaming of you doesn’t just hits you different, it beats the shit out of you different. Such a soothing voice. Heard them, now my life is complete. I found them a year ago, and it pisses me off for not finding them sooner. For a year now I’ve been listening to Dreaming of you on my way to work, and still feels as fresh as the day I discovered them.

Wow I feel the exact same! I've just discovered them a couple of weeks ago and it's all I listen to now. K was my fav and then it became dreaming of you. It has meant so much to me already. I can't even explain the feeling this one song gives me. It's like the soundtrack to my life. The song feels so full of adventure and freedom. It reminds me of home and wanting to travel and see beautiful places. It also makes me think of finding that special person. I'm honestly so thankful I discovered Gregs voice because it's the best thing I've ever heard.
