Saw Lordi last year when they opened for Sabaton with BABYMETAL. Was an awesome show with 3 completely different bands.

Some of the songs ive heard more than 20 years ago, when Lordi played as an opener for Hammerfall in Basel. It was my first metal concert and it was epic :)

The new guitarist "Kone" is technical and a damn good player! Has been in Lordi for approx. 2 years now 🤟

Kone is an awesome player, I do miss Amen-Ra but Kone I think will take Lordi’s guitar work to the next level 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

@@maxbeale8186 You are indeed right. An original member is always an original member and Amen was a great stage person. However, the atmosphere inside the band got so bad that Amen had to be given up. I can say that the Kone brought Lordi to a whole new era, especially musically! 🤟👹

They are breathtaking live. I have seen them a few times across Europe and they are incredible. I don't understand any bad comments about them. Pure gold, oldschoold shock rock. Kone brought the much needed fresh air to them. I love them so much!

Saw them in Cardiff back in April, best band ever and absolutely obsessed over the designs, and the amount of creative choices mr Lordi and the lot have come up with to make such fantastic performances

Lordi are criminally underrated. Those idiots that are talking about them playing in playback after one single incident almost 20 years ago, might want to watch this glorious performance, and then shut their mouth for good.

Holy Sh*t. Not what I expected, and I mean that in every bit of a good way. Some people like or don't like the costumes and masks. Especially "Scary" ones. But I get it. It's rock and roll Vaudeville. Alice Cooper started it all and was the best at it. But these guys and gal are following in his footsteps, and writing and playing totally unexpected "over the top" rock and roll like Meatloaf meets KISS. The contrast is great, and it works. I like it! Two Gnarly Thumbs Up!

Excellent !!! Vu en 1e partie d'un concert de Sabaton au Zénith de la Vilette de Paris, j'ai découvert en "live" ce groupe que je ne connaissais que de son. Le chanteur, très bavard (un peu moins ici, mais pas grave ;-) ) a mis d'entrée une ambiance "d'enfer" xD. Bref, bon groupe, excellente soirée, et excellent tout court =p Merci ARTE pour ce concert que ce soit au Hellfest, Summer Breeze et autres festivals de METAL ❤‍🩹 🤘❤‍🩹 Thanks a lot 💕💕💕💕💕

Oh Shit, this was awesome. It's blowing my mind.. It's been a long time since I've heard Lordi or seen them on stage. But their sound is simply unmistakable. There were some damn great songs. Somehow I lost track of the Finnish Euro-Contest winners from 2006. Shame on me. - Thank you Arte for this video. // German...: Lange hab ich Lordi nicht mehr gehört und auch nicht mehr auf der Bühne gesehen. Aber, deren Sound ist einfach unverwechselbar. Verdammt waren da geile Stücke mit dabei. Irgendwie hab ich die Finnischen Euro-Contest Gewinner von 2006 aus den Augen verloren. Schande über mich. - Danke Arte für dieses Video.

@@Ban_Richards Everyone has always asked me where I got that name! I always tell them, Lordi is the name of a Eurovision winner who, at the time, had the highest score ever achieved by an artist. I think there should be more cats and dogs named Lordi, especially as in the song ''Would You Love A Monsterman'' it says: ''Could you understand the beauty of the beast'' and then to hear everyone call the cat ''Lordi !!!!''It's always fun. 🐱

Old Lordi was incredible but I think nostalgia playes a huge part in it as well. Albums like Scare Force One, Moonstereophonic and their most recent album Screem Writers Guild are great albums too. Lordiversity has tons of great stuff as well. Can't wait for the next one early 2025.

Exceptional MC! Nice hack to please the audience while not being fluent their language. I'd like to see that dedication and confidence from japanese bands (particularly those in costumes) instead of realizing after a few words "oh shoot I can't do this... anybody help me out? ... no?? okaay. ;_;". This band is actually over 30 years old now, although it seems the first few years were a solo project and the first album release took 10 years. I imagined them making the same style of music that they did around the 2000s, which gets quite boring quick. The set list mostly looks like that too. However checking Wikipedia, I see that they tried something different and released an album in 2020 covering styles from the 1970s to 1990s and following up in 2021 with 7 albums to explore this deeper. While this can be seen as begging for money (every album full price, yeah I prefer to buy music DRM-free instead of destroying music with spotify), they actually delivered on what most other bands promised to do during the pandemic, so they deserve it.

Mr. Lordi did say after either Sexorcism or Killection that he didn’t want to do just another Lordi album. Amen hadn’t been happy in the band since Monstereophonic in 2016. It seems they almost needed to change their sound, albeit slightly.

Lordi use backing tracks for the backing vocals. Kita, their first drummer did all the backing vocals in the studio but couldn’t sing live due to his mask. The same goes for Hella and Mana now doing backing vocals. Although Hella occasionally sings live for “Schizo Doll”, they again use backing tracks.
