After discussions with Robert, from Lane regulators, and he told me that the original o-rings absorbs air. Thus if your rifle has been pressurized for some time, allow 24-48hr for the o rings to "purge" after you emptied the pressure from the rifle. This should assist in the valve assymbly not being so difficult to remove...

I'd guess the transfer port was already 3.5mm because you have a full power pr900 and the Lane regulator instructions are for the 12fte UK version

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply. This regulator that I fitted was to reduce mine from 19ft/pound to sub 12ft/pound. The PR900 is great as is and if you want to keep high power, then no need to fit a regulator.....

I fit a lane regulator last year and the rifle is leaking air. Stripped it down last night completely, but it's still leaking air albeit very slowly. Wondering how I can fix it? Thinking of removing the regulator and replacing original manometer to see if that makes a difference, or whether it's something else?
@affordableairgunningbyjb6994 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. Do you know from where it is leaking...?? There are several O-rings that can cause a leak... To date none of the regulators that I fitted were the cause of leaks. My expensive FX impact being my most "leaking" rifle as it has 30+ o-rings. My Kral was leaking on the valve seal of the piston. My brother's PR900 was leaking from the O-ring inside the filling port or "cylinder end cap". try to find the leak by filling and then holding the rifle to your ears... even a slow leak you might hear. If you cannot, then remove from stock and see if you can take a small brush that you dip in soap water. "Paint" around all the areas where air could escape and look for air bubbles. Hopefully it is an easy fix/ o-ring replacement. If you hear air coming from the barrel tip, you will have to open up again as then it will be the valve.... Please keep me updated...

I know my rifle in .22 works best around 125 to 130 BAR, it's very consistently accurate,... I'm wondering if I can use a Chronograph to measure the speed at 130 BAR down to 125 BAR then use a spacer behind that vale return spring to gain more tension thus releasing less air per shot & regulating the rifle without buying a regulator ?
@affordableairgunningbyjb69942 жыл бұрын
Hi there David. Your reasoning behind your plan should work. At least in theory it makes good sense. However I think that it will only "shift" your rifle's "sweet-spot". Currently you know that at 125bar she shoots great. If you change / add the spacer that "sweet-spot" might move up to 170-175 (?? who knows). However as soon as the pressure is below 170, the rifle is again not where she shoots at her best. By installing the regulator you can ask them to set it at 130 or 125 bar. Now every shot from 200bar till 130 bar will be exactly the same !! These PR900's are great little rifles with very good efficiency for the price. According to Mr Robert Lane , from Lane regulators, they are one of the best and most efficient non regulated rifles, and he has work with just about every rifle out there... The investment will be worth the money !! You will then own one of the cheapest, most efficient and accurate little rifles out there !! Regards JB

Will this regulator fit in the PR900W/Diana Stormrider Gen 2 ? And how did you shorten the white "power plenum" soacer ? Or didnt you have to shorten it because you left out the pressure gauge block ?
@affordableairgunningbyjb69942 жыл бұрын
Hi there. I am not sure if that is the same as mine. As far as i know all PR900W's have the same diameter tube and should fit. Looking at the photos online it looks the same as mine... Regarding the spacer: I never used the pressure gauge and thus did not have to shorten mine by 1.2mm. If I had to ,then I would have used 120-180 grit sandpaper. Put it on a table top, and carefully sanded the spacer. Probably making circular movement whilst pushing equally down on the spacer to ensure if is sanded symmetrically and not at an angle .... Hope this helps. Regards JB

@affordableairgunningbyjb69943 жыл бұрын
Hi there Ryan. Trust you are well. Yes I do service them, however logistical it gets complicated.... I live in Langebaan (on the west-coast). This means that the rifle needs to be couriered here and back to you again. Just that already becomes pricy and then the service needs to be added to the overall cost.... I do have a courier that does some jobs in the cape-town area (Western suburbs and Belville at between R125 to R175 one-way.... If It is just a service, and nothing is broken, or needs replacing, then it is R750/service. I will open, strip, clean and reassemble the rifle.Then also re-zero your scope (if fitted). This does not include the valve assembly inside the air-tank. As it is inside the tank they are usually "ok" unless you have shot a lot with the rifle and maybe not always filled with dry air...? If the valve assembly is included then it is R1000 for the service. It might seem a lot compared to what you paid for the PR900, but the whole job takes about 4 hours, if all goes well and just a service.....(even a plumber works at three times that rate....) Many Regards JB

Hey there, I have been using my dad's old break neck barrel for a while. I what to get a new rifle and was looking at the PR900w. I shoot for fun nothing more but like that pcp is a bit more quiet and can get more shots off. Is there anything about this rifle that you think I should know? Or any advice? Thanks
@affordableairgunningbyjb69943 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcello. Trust you are well. It seems I have earlier models of the PR900W. They have some feeding issues when using the magazine and also not threaded on the barrel's end to take a after market silencer. These PCP's are as loud , or louder, than a break-neck if not used with a good silencer. (Look in my video how i remove the silencer... not threaded and cannot fit a new/better silencer) . My friend however has a PR900W MK11 in .22 Caliber. He has no feed issues and his is threaded to take a screw on suppressor/silencer. His bolt action is super smooth and it seems Artemis has fixed the problems on the earlier versions. Mr Lane, from Lane regulators, told me that in 30 years of working with PCP's these are one of the most "air efficient" rifles on the market. It has a very small cylinder/tank yet it has a good shot count. They are compact, light, simplistic, not remotely as complex as a FX and accurate enough for most hunting/plinking uses. They are also more affordable than most other brands.... My input: If you are on a budget and looking for great value, then this is good option. With the money you save, up your scope to a "nice" scope with parallax adjustment down to 10 yard. This will greatly improve your overall accuracy !! Hope this helps and happy hunting. Regards JB

Hi there. Mine must be 1st generation. My friend has the newer version with smoother bolt action, better feed into the magazine and threaded for a silencer. Why did u remove barometer ?
@affordableairgunningbyjb69942 жыл бұрын
Hi there !! This is an older model PR900 and the stock was not a good design . The hole in the stock Is smaller than the pressure gauge. It is only big enough to allow the threaded part of the gauge ... The newer rifles they made the hole bigger so you don't have to remove it to remove the stock... However you must just follow the instructions if you want the see the pressure of the regulator. Remember hat the gauge will now only show the pressure in the regulated part of the rifle..... So beware to use this gauge to fill it. Use the gauge on your refilling station... Regards JB
