Arteta has everything, can play any system in the right circumstances. Guardiola, Simone, Mourinho and Klopp. Has the mix of all of them at once. Right now we lack Ødegaard who enable us high control of the game, so that’s why we tend to have less possession. But it doesn’t matter, Arteta has a solution for everything. He’s complete

I don't think Arteta is like Simeone. He's very adaptable and pragmatic in his approach depending on the fixture. I remember years ago, guys in here wanted managers like Allegri, Simeone etc. cause we were so crap defensively. But in appointing them, we would have had to let go of our identity, our natural style of play, something which Arteta has retained. Happy with him so far, but there will be bigger tests for him ahead, especially in Europe. Hoping we can get through them as well.

Let’s recognize what Trossad is doing in the absence of Odegard. I am beginning to rate him comparable to Odegard in that position. He playing in that position and Calafiori always moving forward has added a lot of fire in Arsenal press upfront.
@jaredchalker7914Ай бұрын
Slow down there dude. Trossard is not anywhere close to Odeegard. I rate him very highly. But Odeegard is one of the best players in the Prem. Trossard comes off the bench when everyone is fit
@emmanuel4989Ай бұрын
@@jaredchalker7914He's better than Martinelli and is very unlucky not to be starting ahead of him.
@talewoodstudioАй бұрын
@@emmanuel4989I think Martinelli off the ball is why Arteta picks him over Trossard. Martinelli has the pace to support Calafiori who isn’t the fastest full back in the world by any means. What Gabi does on in terms of output isn’t as important to us as we score collectively, and if we don’t have a goal in the second half Tross comes on and is pretty much guaranteed to bag. But if Cala doesn’t get support and gets caught on the break then there’s always a chance we could concede. Not really rocket science to be honest
@emmanuel4989Ай бұрын
@@talewoodstudio Martinelli is a winger, his main job is going forward and he's been poor at that for a long time, hence why we always have to take Trossard off the bench in the first place to bail us out. Trossards got much better output than Martinelli despite playing less minutes. Most of the teams were going to face this season will play low block against us, the main concern should not be how can we protect Calafori, it should be how can we give ourselves the best chance of opening all these teams up. If Calafori can't handle it then he shouldn't be playing there, simple.
@jaredchalker7914Ай бұрын

What a game! Arsenal really rose to the challenge against a tough opponent like PSG, who are known for their organized and professional play. Arsenal’s performance was exceptional, showing great composure and superior tactics throughout the match. Trossard was outstanding, and I agree, he could easily be considered the man of the match. It was also refreshing to see how Arsenal maintained their composure despite the intensity of the game. The team's discipline was commendable, especially in high-pressure moments. And hats off to the referee and officials for managing the game professionally and making the right calls, not just in this game but across the matches played on Tuesday night. It's great to see officiating done right, in contrast to some of the questionable decisions we've seen in the EPL recently. The consistency of Champions League referees compared to some of the chaotic decisions in the EPL is striking. The overly strict officiating in the Premier League, with unnecessary yellow cards leading to red, does disrupt the flow of the game, and hopefully, English referees can take some cues from the way Champions League matches are handled. As for Arsenal, it was fantastic to see Merino get some minutes as well, showing depth in the squad. The team is on a roll, and it's great to be a Gooner! Looking forward to the next match. Gunner for life!

Hold up play is rubbish, failing to beat his man, and playing as an individual - dude had the opportunity to bury the game by squaring the ball and he decides to take it on himself and he got shut out. Merino looked like a typical spanish player when asked to defend but I guess he has no chemistry with the lads yet as I saw gaps and misunderstandings between him, Rice and Havertz. i'll judge him in a few weeks. Once he has had time to build that chemistry. Cala is looking shakey to be fair. Tomi might have a chance to displace him if he ever comes back.
