This was an interesting project taking a bunch of mushrooms, mounting them on an apple root piece of wood, cast in clear resin, treated with a vacuum chamber and turned on the lathe. Getting closer to my clear resin goal!

Research has shown that ALL plant life has fungus growing within it and can not live without fungus...also...mushrooms are the best multivitamin you can get and the medicinal mushrooms can be a huge deal for health. As a doctor I am sure you can check into the studies especially for turkey tail use for cancer treatments. Another great looking project as usual. Still trying to catch up on all your videos. Try paste wax to coat the bowl before you pour the resin. Sprague Wood turning uses it now with a lot of success. No sticking of resin to the container! Try it!

Absolutely beautiful. As for the bubble in the resin in your bigger pieces I have seen people use a hand held blow torch as well as a spray that comes in a spray paint can they use it on large projects like table and such

Hi Dan, I have seen a number of your vids and the same thing keeps coming up about the bubbles, You need to put a base coat on your wood, shrooms, twigs etc, the bubbles are air coming out of the pieces, and painting them with a basecoat of epoxy will stop this

Good video. I think the project would have looked better if you hadn't used the button mushrooms, and if you had sanded it with progressively finer sand paper, and paste, until it was shiny, instead of coating it. However, it still looks neat, and it was a good video 👍
