If anything, Blizzard is promoting sexism even more, blaming harassment on women's bodies. The in-game art wasn't particularly demeaning in any way to the subjects, they just showed skin. Blizzard is shifting the blame to women showing skin instead of shitty men, the opposite of promoting women's bodily autonomy and feminism in general.

He hit the nail on the head. I said this when I explained to a friend why Tera and the Elon race was a problem but FF14 and Lalas weren't. The problem isn't that sexy females exist or that tiny child races exist, it's a problem when it's only females, you are forced to be sexualized as a female, while you can't sexualize a male. And Lalas aren't inherently sexualized while Elons are literally made to be weird sex objects and the game gates you into it. When people can't understand the difference, you end up with dumb over corrections like this.

the issue is clearly not the environment and the work culture there, its depictions of women being comfortable in their sexuality in game..... that's right, lets put more clothes on women, instead of fixing the behavior of some of the harassers working there, because as we all know, more clothing on women historically stopped women from being sexually harassed.. /s

What people are saying is that the painting and other stuff they are removing was created by people who did bad things. The current devs want to remove as much stuff that those people contributed as they can.
