Arthur Lee and Love, along with orchestra section perform a luminous, colorful perfect rendition of Alone Again, Or. Ah, if only the enthusiastic crowd would have danced instead of shouting, talking, and calling out so much... thank you for posting this video.

When I was living in the Haight Ashbury in 1968, FOREVER CHANGES was one of the soundtracks of our lives. I saw LOVE at The Avalon Ballroom that same year, but the Band had broken up except for Arthur and the new players were so rough that he had to restart one song. I did get to meet him after the show and ask him about his songwriting process. Years later back in LA, I saw Love (including Bryan Maclean) at the Whisky in Hollywood. Then with Baby Lemonade at The Palomino. When Arthur Lee got out of Prison, I drove to San Francisco to see LOVE at BIMBO's , Then Royce Hall at UCLA, and The Henry Fonda Theater, But the best show of all was that magical night at the House of Blues when LOVE with Orchestra, performed the entire FOREVER CHANGES Album live. The band was great but that night Arthur Lee was so good it was mind blowing! I think everyone in that room knew it was an epic performance

Feel very fortunate I got to see him once… he didn't have the strings and horns behind him, it was more of a Rock n Roll arrangement, but it was great. And he did the horn parts here accapella… it sounded great.

There are few songs that will live on. Hey Jude, Stairway to Heaven, Bohemian Rhapsody and Forever Changes are amongst that very few. All have a mystique, originality and the ability to identify something uniquely human.

The 60's were more than all the truly famous bands! And love were better than all of them too in my opinion !!!

How come there's no mention of Bryan MacLean who wrote this song and many ofher of Love's hits. If Lee hadn't been so reluctant to tour and promote the group back in the 60's the band wouldn't have broken up then and they would have been one of the biggest. Instead MacLean got fed up and left and then later Arthur brought the group back but it wasn't the same thing. So it has ended up being a underknown cult group of the 60's instead of what it was & should have been: a major original force.
