Some more Arthur Russell ephemera... Here is another rare, albeit short, recording of Arthur's voice, discussing the vocal style of 80s pop stars Prefab Sprout with NPR host Andy Lyman in 1988. At the end of the excerpt, I also include samples of Prefab Sprout and Arthur's music, which mutually enjoy the close mic'd sound of a gentle human voice.

So astute of Arthur to pick out the EQ of Prefab Sprout's work when he could have talked about all the other astonishing qualities of their music like lyrics and harmony. It wouldn't be the first thing that comes to my mind. As a fan of both artists, to me, this is a fantastic upload.

@@gingerballin Of course, it is an opinion. I have been listening to the album since its release and for me it is the weakest track. It is great that you like it , that is the whole point. Music is subjective.
