@@blakedunn4095 thats not his style. His style is strictly north and south. Najee can’t produce significant burst to beat defenders to the outisde. Players like saquon, Bijan, Breece hall, tony pollard, Austin ekeler, jahmyr gibbs, etc. These guys have speed and their burst is needed for the style of offense they run.

The philosophy still works, it's always worked. 1) Be a physical team with emphasis on the fundamentals of the offensive and defensive fronts 2) The 3-4 scheme is predicated on a pass rush and bump coverage to disrupt passing routes time to develop and the rushers to get home 3) Running the ball effectively requires an effective, physical O line. When the run game is effective it opens up play action and the big play. The run sets up the pass, the pass sets up the run. It's always been the same recipe...you just have to execute the fundamentals. Blocking, tackling, physical dominance on both fronts

Tomlin hired Authur Smith to come in and make Najee the next Derrick Henry and he's not that type of physical runner, and we don't have that good of a O-Line or Receivers that can block in the run game. But Tomlin wants Authur to run on 1st and 2nd down every series, and put Russ in 3rd and long every series. We need to let Russ control the offense through the air on 1st and second down.

The game plan SUCKED from its inception!!! The bungles KNEW that would be our plan... So a SMART game plan would've been to come out SWINGING... Like we did last time!!! Same goes for the upcoming game against the Ratbirds... they should come out swinging… But we all know what’s going to happen: we'll come out exactly the same way we did alllllllll year long and run on 1st and 2nd downs and then go 3 and out time and again. before you know, it will be down by multiple scores… And then we will try to claw our way back in… And come up short yet again.!!!! One and done yet again because we're predictable and refuse to try a different strategy!!!

I get the “Steelers way” and they want to beat you into submission, but it ain’t working. Coach T says “if you got red paint, paint the barn red”. Maybe he needs to take that one to heart. I think there is fair criticism of the commitment to running the ball, but really the issue was the plays off of it. It was supposed to setup play action pass to hit the middle of the field and some RB screens. Ultimately due to Russ missing reads or the o line struggling those plays didn’t work either.

The only things that need to happen: 1) Najee should ONLY be allowed to catch short forward passes once he breaks the line of scrimmage running north. 2) Warren should be our REAL starting RB 3) BOTH TEs need to average 70 yards/game receiving 4) Use Pickens 50% of the time AS A DECOY for everyone else 5) Throw down the middle of the field 30% of the time, and leverage the short pass to do it. 6) Continue to chew clock

the play calling is very predictable. Its GP quits, Russ looks deep or dump off, if justin plays he is running, and Najee running into a bad line. They do not play to their player's strengths. Both QBs are better with the quick passing game. Both were god if they throw in under 2.5 seconds. See Indy and Cincyh.

They still win so it is effective. I suggest it's the owner and front office that have become inefficient. The front office dragged feet from before the start of the season to make a move for a WR Smith barely uses. The owner could easily modernize the team and offense by opening the checkbook for equipment and staff/coaching assistants.

Another interesting thing is that if you take the logic of 75% of Pittsburgh sports media, there's never a good reason to call for a QB to benched or even consider moving on from a coach, regardless of how poor they perform at the end of the year, every year. If there are stats, trends, & data points that are outright embarrassing, you don't criticize that - you thank your lucky stars to be a fan of this team with that coach/QB & STFU according to how they talk about fans. There's a giant lane open in Steelers media for people who are just realists: aren't/never have been affiliated with the team, doesn't host events for the franchise, & doesn't have to worry about getting a press pass to cover the team.

I get the 25% Coach and 75% player and i'm usually very optimistic when it comes to the Steelers, but there have been a lot of issues that are coaches fault as well. - Dan Moore struggles since the bye week. He gets very little help against Hendrickson and Garrett - Cory Trice is a second year 7th Round CB and you put hin against the best receiver in football with very little help - Jaylen Warren is the most explosive running back, but you put in 33 year old Patterson in crucial plays. - They want to rely on the running game, but are one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL - Justin Fields played well in his games, but they stick to Wilson after 4 very bad perfomances. - The offense looks extremely predictable with Russ And a lot of those points translate to the years before as well.

Are we just not going to talk about why we just lost four games in a row and how our offense was dominated the worst defense in the NFL? What are we supposed to do? Just sit and watch the team do the same thing they've done since 2019? Fans will never see change if they don't demand change. We are losing because players are poorly coached and undisciplined, and because we have a stale predictable game plan. These aren't a few things that the Steelers can clean up in one week. Its not the gameplan. Its blowing drives with unneeded risks. Bad clock management. No real running attack to rest the defense. Just bad decisions all the way around. Tomlin had a chance to rest people and didn't because he wanted to play Texas and not Baltimore. We still lost. Nobody got rested and we still have to play Baltimore. Tomlin is not as smart as people think.
