Fields was carried by field goals. Russ had some bad moments in those last 5 games, but Russ can't catch for the receivers and tightends, and Russ can't block for Dan Moore. You have to live in reality. A defense playing out of its mind and a kicker having the year of his career was the reason Justin fields won any of his games in black and gold. The thing about firing Tomlin is who's next? We Steelers fans don't have patience and it doesn't matter if it's Tomlin or St. Peter, we want Super Bowls! So if they win or lose, I say, keep Tomlin. At this stage, I do feel that the No.1 offense needs help with the short-yardage situations. I am willing to put the ball into JFields' hands on any down with less than 2 yards to go, whether 2nd and 2, or 3rd 2. That goes for the Goal line as well. JFields has shown in Chicago and in Pittsburgh that he can be trusted in the red zone. Russ/JFIelds vs Lamar/Derrick Henry. I like our chances. Bring it on.

It’s pretty simple, aside from losing the last 4 in a row and not even existing much in 3 of those games. The offense can’t get out of its own way right now. But they didn’t score a TD at all in the first meeting this season. And Balti simply gave up on respecting this matchup in the second meeting and just went out and played their game. This game won’t be any different even if Balti got nervous and choked. Our offense won’t outscore them. Even if our def nee gives the offense chances or even if the defense scores a TD themselves; the offense will not have success. There isn’t one sign pointing in our favor. I believe Tomlin is on the hot seat because the four loss streak has put the spotlight on the fact that we haven't won a playoff game since 2016 and Tomlin is 8-10 in playoffs for his career. Out of Tomlin's 18 years, 1 SB win and 1 SB loss. I believe both appearances in SB were with the team created by the previous coach. I don't believe firing Tomlin is the answer, but they need to put pressure on him to change.

We should either be starting Fields, or if we're down after the first half, sorry Russ but we're not going to waste away in another game like the last 4 games. We have had some undying loyalty to starting Russ just because he balled against some weak defenses, and even if he's not the only problem we have, he is 100% a big part of the problem. People are seriously underrating how elite Lamar has been this year, and throwing that out the window in regards to our chances in this game just because of our rivalry. The only way I can envision us winning is with our defense playing their best, adapting to the Ravens as the game goes on, and Justin shocking the world with his passing & mobility.

Honestly my worst nightmare is that we win, tomlin gets a pass again and keeps doing the same shit hes been doing, russ gets extended, and we do it all over next season.
