Articulated Camera Swing Arm - IKEA Hack //How To

In this video, I'm making an articulated camera swing arm out of an IKEA Tertial desk lamp. For the mount I used a Go Pro style adapter with a screw so I can switch between my camera or I can put a phone holder. The total cost of the build is around $10.
This is an upgrade to my video setup so hopefully, I can produce more and better quality videos in the future. The stand is easy to be mounted to any table, chair, or other surfaces similar in width.
It was a really easy build that I managed to tackle in an afternoon so you should be able to build it for yourself.

It would have been helpful to see graphics in the video identifying the different camera mount parts you were using with words and showing which parts of them you used and how they attached together. That section needed more details.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought that's pretty self explanatory but obviously I was wrong. All of the mounts are just standard GoPro mounts with the addition of the phone holder.

The wires are held in the socket by a small pin that needs to be pushed back with very small screwdriver. After that, you just pull them back.

wanted to know if someone knew a phone holder that could fit in there ?? i know there is a youtube vid based on ikea hacks that does it with the "Forså work lamp" he uses a generic phone holder i can buy as i live in The Netherlands.. But i prefer mounting the lamp to my desk instead of a stand..

The swivel head allows for any phone mount that has a screw adapter to be attached. It's a swivel mount for an action camera. With it you can rotate the camera 360 degrees on the arm.
