Sono d'accordo, in parte. Nothing e molti altri brani sono come dici tu, ma i Depeche Mode negli ultimi anni non hanno sfornato pezzi memorabili. Nell'ultimo album qualcosa di buono c'è come Before We Drown e Soul With Me ma questo pezzo AI in Sounds Of The Universe, Delta Machine o Spirit avrebbe fatto la sua figura. Quindi rispetto a quello che ho realmente scritto sei d'accordo in toto, intanto. Però se usi l'espressione "sono fatte meglio"...stai dimostrando quello che ho detto di fondo, cioè che se l'obiettivo di un artista è "fare meglio" parli di un prodotto...Un vero artista non ha mai e non ha mai avuto come scopo "fare meglio" ma fare con sensibilità col proprio "bagaglio di vita e di competenza musicale" emozionandosi nel fare, fare ostinatamente un pezzo in un certo modo, lottando contro il produttore per imporre un suono, una chitarra o semplicemente una durata di un brano per lui imprescindibile e spuntarla. Ogni dannato suono deve avere uno scopo. Lo sai da dove vengono le percussioni di Personal Jesus? Il pezzo era già pronto, stavano registrando nello studio dei La Bionda a Milano e salendo le scale furono attirati dal rumore che facevano calpestate dai passi...Decisero di registrare il pezzo di nuovo sostituendo alla batteria prevista il rumore campionato di quelle scale. Quel rumore li aveva "emozionati", era scattato qualcosa...Cosa vuoi che scatti all'AI...che non ha emozioni? Sentivo proprio oggi uno psichiatra qui su KZbin che descriveva il valore che distinguerà gli esseri umani dall'AI...Saranno i difetti...le necessità emotive che prevalgono sulle scelte "precise e fatte meglio" dell'AI...meglio rispetto a cosa poi...Grazie di avermi risposto. Ho ascoltato un paio delle canzoni che mi hai proposto...Ho sempre la stessa sensazione. Vuoto emotivo. E' chiarissimo, mi spiace. Non è musica per me.

I'm disgusted by the use of binary code to create cheap imitations of artists. Machines can't replicate the human touch, the emotions that drive art. It's nothing more than pattern recognition, a theft of vocal identity. I've heard these so-called 'DM' tracks and they're devoid of soul. Even the worst live band has more raw energy than any AI. In few years these songs that are already good (at least some of them) will appear like a bad attempts because the new AI songs will be indistinguishable from songs created by real artists.
