Hi Justin, I'm not a pro but will give my 2 cents advice. Firstly the airstone is too high so you'll need to Dial it down to gentle stream. I would remove the airstone & use a clip to keep secure & use air valve on hose end to just have a few bubbles. Now one of the hardest issues with artificial raising discus fry is the feeding & water changes every 4 hours. For the feeding you'll need to get powdered Bakers egg yolk/powder spirulina/ raw egg whites. Mix à tiny amount until it gets tacky & stick then paste it on either dark color airstone or black plastic. Then suspend it in the center of bowl. Discus fry are instinctively attracted to dark objects so putting the food on airstone or black plastic they will be attracted & feed. With this method its best to use two bowls so you'll have both at same water parameters & it would be easier to transfer the fry after each 4hours have elapsed then clean the bowl & continue forward. Each time you make new food as well & properly clean the feeding plastic or air stone which had the egg yolk mix. If you get them to 3 days feeding on the egg yolk mix try adding the 18hour newly hatched bbs as first meal. You could also use a led light to attract the bbs to one edge if the bowl where you'll put the airstone or black plastic since they'll still be attracted to it. It's best to use white non transparent round bowls not square. Feeding regime is like 6am. Then 10am transfer new bowl & re feed next is 2pm then last is 6pm feeding then 9 or 10pm transfer to clean water & bowl. If everything goes as planned it would be week only until they fully eating live bbs then you'll be able to move them to master breeder Dean fry system where you'll have continuously water flow etc. You could try fluval breeder box but use a piece of sponge in the overflow. I've not use breeder box but its should work as its continuously adding freshwater. Just remember water parameters & temp then right feeding is the keep to success. Keep everything stable & don't skip feeding. Hopefully this helps. Best of luck.

Most of the comments section meant a job for raising discus fry is harder then baby sit a new born human baby! I did it without water change for 2 month. 138 discus in one breed. I never thought to make a video. Hope one day I can do it again and share it. In summary, A good (Neo) bacteria can clean and stable the water for months, and egg yolk with pellet mash is the recipe, 28C temp and the whole process I did it in white cork fish delivery box. Sold them in the same box after 3 months! It's my experience.

I forgot to mention since you don't have any filtration in the bowl as theyre still wrigglers. You'll need to do 50% water changes twice daily until they're full free swimming. So recommend do it like 10 am & 2pm. Don't do full 100% when they're wrigglers. Slowly Dripping back in fresh water is best.

Hi Justin, love discus, I have kept and bred them for a long time, so can I suggest, instead of hatching/growing the fry artificially, let the parents do the work for you, they will grow a lot quicker and healthier. You have 2 pairs, in the same tank, is there anyway you can put a divider in the tank, it will lessen the aggression, between the parents. If both pair lay at the same time, you will end up with many fry, the other benefit you will get is a really a beautiful sight to see, and I wouldn't want you to miss out on the experience. Anyway good luck, I hope you will succeed, it sure will be interesting. 😊

Thank you so much for the great advice! I have bred many discus pairs before and I know what you mean by how beautiful the process of getting the parents to raise the fry is!!! While the parents are young and still learning how to look after their fry I am keen to take about half the spawn each time to see how they go. I appreciate the lovely comment and hopefully these guys will grow fast and healthy. Have an awesome rest of your week:)

Hi jus😁after a long time . Congrats ⚡⚡😋 /.. Discus fry feeds on their parents mucus . so if you raise them artiftially there are no adults . so u can put a black or dark brown plate (vertically ) in the tank and add food . fry thinks its a parent and eat the food that stick to the plate . some of our breeders use this method 🤗🤗😜😜.. exept the feeding trick other things are same as rams .
