*UPDATE: LGG reached out and told me that a small percentage of pads had a manufacturing error that caused the curling effect on the sides. New batches should NOT have this, but keep an eye out. They offered to replace the pad, but because the demand is so high from y'all I declined it, hopefully someone else can grab a replacement if needed. It doesn't bother me that much. That said, contact LGG if you have any issues, they are very much on top of this!

Great review. Always enjoy when you upload. Owner of the original Venus and it’s currently my main as the deskmat. Still trying other brands but the smooth glide and slight feedback on lower skates always keeps me coming back to the Venus despite those pesky stitching problems.

Ya QC issues aside honestly their surface is fantastic 😍 at the end of the day most of the stuff like stitching it pretty much cosmetic

Just for your information, LGG uses the exact same softness level as Artisan Xsoft, the reason it feels less squishy is because the foam is about 0.5mm thinner so it can’t travel as far, but it actually is the exact same foam.

That makes total sense and I overlooked the fact of the 0.5mm difference 🤦‍♂️ thank you! that said, labeling it as XSoft will lead to some Artisan buyers expecting that level of squish. Which is really what I wanted to convey. Seems the 0.5mm difference was deliberate to achieve a more consistent feel and keep it aligned as a speed pad which makes sense to do

Hey man Thanks a whole lot!!! I ordered a new gaming pc that i put together with a 6700 tx graphics card, ans orher great parts. I also got my Aerox 3 steel (ultra light) series mouse with superglide glass skates, and now i also ordered the venus pro 😊 im extremely excited for my first High end pc and all this awesome stuff. My old pc was a low end gaming pc and i had a heavy mouse and really bad sticky mousepad. Playing fps was a nightmare. Im sooo happy, thank you man!!!

@@UpgradeLemonade i just got 2 more pads. the venus pro is so good, it almost makes up for a bad relationship 🤣 fucking love that thing! try out the macveth pads with a rough surface for a good budget speed pad. i find it hilarious how cheap and good it is(slightly faster than the venus pro). it costs about 9-10$ here in the Philippines with flush stiched edges lol

@@UpgradeLemonade it's not just another bang for the buck pad. i was seriously considering maining it for a while. and it has a cool print on top. macveth(i would stay away from their regular smooth surface though) and alpha gaming are my top budget brands right now. i mean i can buy their whole lineup for the price of one lgg pro pad and be pretty much sure, i get 1 or 2 useable, good pads for my liking.

Is the Venus PRO good for CS and Valorant as my main games? I’m a low sens player btw and I’m torn between picking up the Venus PRO right now or wait for the Saturn PRO which will begin shipping at the end of June (so they say).

I mean honestly ya it's still pretty versatile. It's really more like an Otsu in speed overall. Plus it's XSoft base gives you more control when you need it. The sale price on Venus is so good

I bought myself the venus pro, i love it... but for some reason it wont stick to my desk... i cleaned the desk beforehand ... when i try it on my girlfriends desk, it does stick and stay in place like a brick... any tips on what i can do, i suppose the surface is just to slick

Yeah certain desks will just stick better than other tbh. Both my desks stick well enough I never tried any techniques. I have heard people use double-sided tape for some pads, but never did that myself

Comparing it to the hayate otsu xsoft, which do you recommend for tac games?

Hmmm honestly very close , I've heard some folks have issues with durability on the Otsu , haven't heard that yet for thIs one. But overall experience is going to feel very similar . Most folks gravitate towards the Saturn Pro for tac FPS but the Venus isn't ungodly fast or anything it's still nicely manageable

I think it depends on what you are looking for , tiger ice will give you a faster glide, Corepads and arc 1 a little more control . I'd pick Corepads or tiger ice tho

Should I pre-order the Xsoft or Soft of their new batch of the Saturn Pro? Or get the Venus Pro? Mainly for Fortnite and other tracking games like Apex Legends and Warzone. I would like a control along with speed and didn't try Xsoft or soft before, and right now I'm using the QCK Heavy so I'm not sure which one to pick. Because the newer batches of the Saturn Pro will have soft verison too but both the soft and Xsoft will be 4mm thickness instead of 3mm. And the Venus Pro is still on stock right now instead of pre-order but only on Xsoft.

Generally speaking I'd say for tracking heavy games like Apex or warzone stick with a firmer pad. So in this case get a Soft versus the XSoft. Soft is slightly firmer so should be better feeling for longer tracking and quick strafe adjustments. In terms of Saturn versus the Venus that's up to you. We've seen pros play well on both. Saturn is less textured where Venus has more texture on the surface so it can feel a bit off-putting to some. I don't mind either personally. Venus is close to a Hayate Otsu style of speed so I think that's going to be the better fit. But Saturn can very much be used in Apex etc. Don't feel bad about either choice but I'd say grab a Venus in Soft

@@UpgradeLemonade Only the Saturn Pro has soft and XSoft versions, while the Venus Pro has only XSoft right now, and the Venus Pro is available for purchase right now while the Saturn Pro is available only for Pre-Order now and shipping will be available from late June. So therefore, which one of them and which softness will be the best for my needs? From available standpoint, the Venus Pro would be a better pick for me, but what do you think?

@@satxrnhimself thats all really personal preference tbh.... neither bothered me for my skin and ive used xsoft in games like OW without issue. generally speaking tho I recommend mid or soft style pads but if you have good mouse control youll be fine with xsoft. Im not really a keyboard reviewer , only did one video. people seem to like the wooting keyboards tho? check those out

after using a friends otsu recently the venus pro is defintley pretty similar to the otsu , youll enjoy it
