The Hien Soft was my first artisan and I used it for a year, I switched to a zero and I saw drastic aim improvement. For that reason alone I think I’d have to recommend Zero as the safe option for someone looking to get their first Artisan, it’s the slowest of the Artisan pads for sure but it’s well fast enough for tracking in any game you like

I need some advice, the game i play is CS and i have 7k hours. Throughout playing over the years i have played the GSRSE and the Vaxee PA. Since the yen is quite low still at the moment i want to buy a artisan mousepad. What pad would compare to a new Vaxee PA/GSRSE? I was torn between the zero or hien in either mid or soft. Or is there another pad you would recommend instead?
@sindwel Жыл бұрын
Artisan doesn't have a pad that's close to GSRSE/PA right now. So if you lookin for a new experience you can get Saturn Pro or Memoria Pro as more durable and closest in terms of glide feelings to gsrse\pa

Why does everyone keep saying the hien is “abrasive”. I have a hien soft and i can confirm it is NOT abrasive. Its actually very smooth. Also to add, its a slow mousepad. My otsu is a lot faster. Im not sure why youtubers are stating that the hien is “faster” and abrasive. My hien is smoother and slower than my gigantus v2. Therefore god forbid i get the zero which must be very slow
@sindwel Жыл бұрын
we're getting into personal feeling territory) In general, the surface of Hien is the roughest of all popular pads. This needs to be warned about, because I imagine that a large portion of regular users have never encountered such a surface before. Speed is also a complex issue, as it is influenced by many factors. From the size and wear of the glides on the mouse, to the level of humidity. I would really like to purchase equipment to more accurately test dynamic and static friction in future. But in the meantime, you can check out this interesting test - www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/filp57/20_mouse_pads_tested_for_comparative_static_and/

I've been maining the hien for the last 3 years it definitely IS abrasive but after a period of 6 months - 1 year it will gradually lose texture and speed or develop slow spots depending on how well you take care of it it will last much longer

This is a tough question because otsu is very similar in glide to hien. I just think otsu is faster through the break in period and otsu can get slower than hien. But overall they are very similar pads in terms of speed. Sure xsoft will give you more control, but if you have a habit of pushing the mouse too hard, you might get the opposite effect - under aim. I would advise you to look at memoria pro as a safer option. (or zero mid if you only want artisan)
