Recip saw would have won if the operator used it correctly. Gotta hold the shoe against the work being cut otherwise half of the cutting energy is lost as vibration through the hands.

Or he had a decent carbide blade in it, after all that’s the bit that does the cutting and unless you are making constant cuts the price of the Hilti is too much.

Or a new blade. My Makita rip saw was piss through that!

Lemme guess, the sponsors of today's video are Hilti. You have to plug their products in order to continue getting free products.

Circular saw way quicker with a clean cut also.

I suspect how fast it will cut the rail is also related to how fresh the saw blade is.

Was the correct blade used? Wasn't holding it right. Not really a fair comparison. A Makita reciprocating saw Vs the knock-off would be interesting. There only about £150

I use a Makita battery powered (18v 5aH) disk cutter with a 1mm thick metal cutting blade… it bears all that lot… goes through that in about 3 seconds no effort required, leaving a nice clean cut… I run a makita power hand held (narrow) band saw abrasive over it and perfect finish.., you should try it, much better and more professional finish… black permanent marker pen to finish off on black rails…👍🏻

@artisanelectrics never heard of it until today tbh. You've lost where your videos all began mate. You used to be the best sparky channel on here. And with a reply like this it just goes to show it. What a shame....

@krissybufton lost Cory (who is now doing amazingly well) and sacked John, hope he's doing well! The other lads who work for Jordan seem to be cool but Jordan seems a right prick.
