Artist Creates Stunning Fairy Sculptures Using Wire

A genius artist and designer has created a series of stunning fairy sculptures out of metal wire.
Engineer and designer Robin Wight, 59, from Oakamoor, Staffs, was twisting an old piece of wire up in early 2010.
Robin realised metal wire was a good material to model with, and began creating simple human figures out of it.
Robin said: “The initial net result was very crude and certainly would not win any prizes, but as proof of concept for wire as a material to work with, I was hooked!”

I’m still making wire fairies today, but what started as a hobby has grown into a family business. Each fairy is completely unique as they cannot be mass produced. I shy away from commissions and prefer to simply design make and sell them separately as I go. As well as the fairy sculptures we now also make 2-5 meter tall standalone dandelions, or if you fancy having a go yourself we sell DIY starter kits to teach you how its done.

When NOBODY mentions size in Comments, assume fake comments - the "Fish in Gardwn" ship at 1 @ $20 and are small palm sized. . The Walmart $11 are what you see in the ad - 7" Bluegill or 9" Koi sized. I am still hopeful for honesty about these.

A scam is going around on sites like amazon and eBay 'selling' these. Do not be fooled, its a scam. These sculptures were made by Robin Wight, who only works on commission for his work. The scam is using photos of Wights work and selling cheap tat they brought from pound stores, and creating fake reviews on amazon and ebay of their quality.

Robin Wright is aware of these scams and has a warning about them on his home page. I was taken in and purchased one, you wouldn’t believe the piece of rubbish I received. Thankfully I had purchased through PayPal and managed to get a refund.

It’s a scam!! I ordered through Kts crafts . It describes it being sculpted here in the states but it was shipped from China. It took about 3weeks to get here and it looks nothing like any of the videos , all of the little beads had fell off in the box that was bent , plus I had no idea it was supposed to even have beads 🤷🏻‍♀️ The flat fairy that’s one sheet of metal was bent to fit in the small box they shipped it in and is in no shape form or fashion any kind of wire that’s been artistically put together.

Recd the product but fairy is a mere 4” tall and no instructions how to hook the fairy to the dandelion. It isn’t obvious to intelligent adults. I would never order this product again or anything from this company. Billing was in Chinese! …ahumph
