Don’t feel embarrassed about rearranging your setup for the sake of your mental health. I can’t count how many times I rearranged my furniture in my bedroom for the exact same reason. Sometimes the surroundings we can control start to feel stagnant and we need a change of some kind. I love your content no matter how it’s set up. From the oven that is Texas, warm wishes! Keep creating! ❤

I can really relate to this video, Tammy. I believe that artists are incredibly sensitive to the flow of energy, and that everything around us carries its own energy. So, what you went through feels natural and normal to me. I can't even count how many times I've answered the question, 'What did you do over the weekend?' with 'cleaning and moving things.' As silly as it may sound, it's a necessity. In my country, Japan, and throughout Asia, there’s a concept called Feng Shui, which originates from China. It’s a well-known philosophy that focuses on harmonizing natural energy through the arrangement of furniture and other interior elements.

As someone who focuses a lot on room decor, I’m always changing up my space, rearranging my furniture like 20 times a year 😂 it’s worth it if it makes you feel better and focus more :)
@everausten2 ай бұрын
I rearrange and swap out my furniture as a continuing process that's never finished. Because your space is living. And you can tell when an area becomes stagnant. You needed a good shake up to clear out the stagnant energy, and you gained information that the original layout was more practical ✨

I remember that one of your concerns with previous set up, was the sun blinding you through the day, and if I may suggest, you could probably use a window film for a top part of the window. It will dull light a bit and make it softer. Just a though 😊

Hey tammy! I wanted to share a feng shui tip i came across and applied it. Next time you feel like a change, keep your desk at the wall itself but with your back towards it rather than facing it. That ensures support to you and opportunities coming in through the window on your left! It will also look cool with you sitting and your wall background behind you! Just a thought, but you do you❤

It looks beautiful Tammy. I’m still setting up my new studio and have given myself until Sept 1st. On track so far, wish me luck. I think this is such an important thing to recognise. I feel so happy if my work and living spaces are tidy and clean but it’s an ongoing battle when things get busy so I always clean up as I cook, as I work, as I complete a task. Then I feel better as it’s part of my process and stops me from getting burned out and overwhelmed. 🐨💞🎨👏🏼

Something to consider... color therapy is very attitude adjusting... different shades of the same hue... for example... green causes the mind to release endorphins... much like one might experience in the spring! Try printing a color transparency to tape to your window! A picture of fresh fruit? Just try a few colors that the sun can illuminate from behind... ta-da😊

You could put like some kind of really thin idk hard paper material and line the back of your shelves to turn it into a wall it’ll feel like 2 rooms. Then you could buy that sticker vinyl wallpaper stuff so the part that faces the apartment could have a really neat design maybe.
@tammydinh2 ай бұрын

Or you could add a length of fabric that you like to the side of each shelving unit that faces your couch/living area. I have 2 tall wire shelving units and use long cotton curtain panels. Per each shelving unit, I attach one curtain panel to the top edge of the unit with metal office binder clips. My panels are a little longer than the height of my shelves, so I just fold the top of the curtain panel over a few inches and then attach the folded edge with the clips. Curtain panels are nice because they already have finished edges. Office binder clips come in different sizes, with the larger ones having a larger opening for thicker stacks of paper, so you should be able to find something that will work for your unit. Anyway, the way I do this retains the integrity of all the original pieces. So the curtain panels can go back to being used as curtains, or I can easily change them out for different ones or just to wash and dry them before hanging them back on the shelving units.
