Great video, my question is it seems like even though we’re creating luxury products, for some reason we price it much lower like we don’t believe there are actual buyers out there or like we want to appeal to a lower price than what we’d actually feel good pricing as. Definitely should be making more than minimum wage for custom luxury art. Any thoughts on this dilemma? Thanks for all the dope videos

Couldn’t agreee more. I think the biggest issue is most artist just wanna be artist and not spend any time doing the other stuff that truly leads to higher pricing. Marketing / advertising will really lead you to being able to charge more. I know far too many incredibly talented artist who just can’t move any product but plenty of “content creators” who can make huge money just cause they understand the game.

These sneakers are unauthorized pairs. The value is what the market says. There's no market once you remove originality. Actually the value is less. Unless you just want to pay over retail.

it's unfortunate that these days people just dont want to pay for custom, they do not fully understand the amount of work that goes in to a custom painted piece, and we as artist then have to drop prices so that we can make sales...it makes it hard to want to continue doing what you love

Its especially hard in QLD, Australia, where I am based, the custom game here is basically non existant, painting and then trying to sell a shoe you designed is just as hard too, with the economy, here most people just cannot afford custom 😢
