Your commentary was right on today. I am also an artist who feels relaxing peace , joy and a meditative quietness as I work. I find ur comfort of painting and talking to show great strength of confidence and love of ur gift you've been given. Fantastic!

Great video! Thanks for helping us loosen up. Wondering, are you working from a photo, or making it up as you go? Either way, great result.

MR TRUJILLO,REALLY LOVE WHAT YOU DO ACTUALLY,MY GOAL IS TO DO IMPRESSIONISM...PERHAPS,I HAVE MISSED A LOT OF YOUR VIDEOS.I WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO EXPLAIN A LITTLE BIT THE RATIONALE FOR USING A COLOR(wheter it is a warm, cool, intense, etc) so that we can get ideas that we can apply to our paintings. Is that possible? VERY GRATEFUL FOR YOUR ART LOVE IT!!!!!!

I'm trying so hard to get looser with my art (a contradiction I know). Any tips on just letting go and letting the colors just get slapped on there? I get so lost in the details immediately!

Hi Jose, just found your channel and immediately subscribed. great work! I'm currently trying to move from a very realistic (almost hyperrealistic at times) approach to a more loose and abstract technique, with particular interest in cityscapes/landscapes. This work seems to be alla prima, but from about minute 14 and on, when apply those very bright colors, how can you avoid them to mix with the layer underneath? Is there a cut and the first layer is dry? it doesnt seem so, so what's the trick? :) hope you can help, thanks!

Thanks for reaching out! The trick is in the pressure of the paint brush onto the canvas. It takes a bit of practice to not mix the colors. One way to do it is to apply your first layers thin, and as the painting progresses; use thicker brushwork. :) Hope this helps!

Hello Jose. Do you mind if people paint along with you on youtube and sell their work ? I know some artist don't like that . what do you think ? Greetings from the Netherlands :)
