you dont need a vector node for scale, use value node instead, since it's uniform, the number. And for leaves mix it with translucent shader, not subsurface. It's more accurate for foliage... i use cycles, no clue if Eevee supports translucent?

It does, you just have to switch the blend mode to alpha blend in the material's settings.

That tip for the array modifier on the branches was a new one for me and very useful, thanks. The leaves approach you used was not very good though, it creates stupidly large leaves in proportion to the tree and only looks at all decent from a long way away. A far better approach is to create the 'leaf' in a similar way, but then create a displaced sphere (using a noise texture) and add a particle system with the leaf as the render object, and set to 'volume' This creates many smaller leaves inside the volume, that can then be duplicated and added to branches where it makes sense.

Friendly reminder to new modelers here. If you're looking to make these for say - game design, you're going to need to learn how to convert the UV's into a proper flowing texture map. You'll notice that he's using a Zed or tri-planar texture projection which is why the texture doesn't flow along the branches. Still, for just getting your foot in the door in understanding how you could make a simple tree, this is an excellent start.
