@@bro-3d The only 2 things I have been having trouble with are 1: when trying to make the leaves transparent, they aren't doing so. Instead the gap just remains black or any other color besides transparent (even with alpha going to the other alpha) and 2: F9 rarely brings back the menu once you click off. Can these be resolved?

@@riellerthecreeper Make sure the image is transparent and it should be in .png format. Try using this one www.pngwing.com/en/free-png-zuepz The f9 will only work if you haven't done any action such as move, rotate, scale. After that if you press F9 it will show you the settings of last done action

@@riellerthecreeper There is some setting that let's you set ALPHA HASHED so you need a transparent PNG image, run the alpha to alpha as shown here AND set it to ALPHA HASHED and view in rendered mode and it will for sure get rid of the black edges.

Don't UV unwrap the trunk/branches...UV's are automatically generated when converting to mesh...after converting it to mesh, go to the UV layout, and rotate the UV's -90°, now the UV's should be perfect, just scale the bark image in the shader material setup if needed.

If your wondering why the leaves are still have a black background, go to material and under settings change the blend mode to "Alpha Blend"

@@galaxynael714 The animation has to be added when initially creating the tree. In his tutorial he didn't mention that at first so when I did it originally I had to redo the tree because I didn't realize the animation had to be created. What you have to do is follow the steps like normal, but don't click out of the creating tree menu and follow his animation steps that come later in the video. Does that help?

Nice tutorial, but the leaves part doesn't work. There's something wrong with the scaling. If you apply the material to the leaves, the leaves will appear cut, rotated, etc. etc. You should take them one by one and unwrap and scale the texture image for each individual leaf. Impossible.

so far the f9 does nothing, the node wrangler does not appear down in the bar after activating it and the add material isnt showing up anywhere. That makes this for me as a beginner unuseable as making a mistake is not bad, making a mistake but then doing what a tutorial says and it not working is.

most laptops have f9 keys to function for something such as brightness volume mute screen cast bla bla..try holding Fn key while pressing f9, it will change it to function on the running software's decision ..the problem is after u use it to move or add material or something, the last operation gets lost and im unable to bring it back to modify leave counts or something
