Ive never played demon souls or bloodborne, only darl souls, but ive read up a ton on the lore and what the games look like and what not and demon souls is almost like a cross between dark souls and bloodborne. Like its medieval dark fantasy like dark souls but its very lovecraftian like bloodborne.

He did not eat Nito or Priscilla. He is not using Nito's sword because it clearly isn't, and the life hunt scythe miracle was explained that he dreamt of her. Also the argument does work because Ornstein in DS1 is a illusion (as with everything else in Anor Londo) casted be Gwyindolin. Any NPC or Boss that had to die for you to continue did so. Also in DS2 you can fight him, but he is optional so not cononcially dead.

Dark souls 2 lore is one of the biggest strengths of the game, Darklurker is one of the only bosses that doesn't have lore.

Thecoolaccount Everyone has their favourite. I can't really say I have a favourite since I liked and disliked certain things from each game. Ds1 = overall good but the lack of fast travel killed me since I went super slow throughout the game - also novelty. Ds2 - I really adored certain boss and level designs - it was really good in some areas and really bad in others sorta extremes and dragonslayer ost has become my ringtone. Ds3 also has some extremes - it's like ds2 for me BUT the ringed city Dlc has made my game crash so often and unlike ds2 a lot of areas are cathedrals or rehashes of old areas - the weapon arts are awesome tho.

on an alternate point, I feel like having fast travel at the beginning of the game puts a massive drag on the exploration side of the game. In Dark Souls 1, you only were allowed to fast travel after exploring most of the world, so you didn't miss much, but in the other games, it's very easy to completely write off an area because you can just travel straight to a bonfire and it's easy to miss something when you don't come in contact with a path more than once.

Yeah. Dark Souls 2 probably had the strongest lore IMO. there are just so many things you can find to learn about the lore. It doesn't take much to learn that Drangleic is built where Lordran once was. It's lore is really strong overall, and I often see people trying counter that with dumb arguments like "well what about the elevator to the iron keep, huh?" Darklurker is a really cool boss that I wish did have more lore. I suspect it's some sort of manifestation of the abyss that was born after Manus' death. Although it's interesting how the design reminds me a bit of the four Kings 🤔🤔

For the record the Aldritch drawing is really good. The upper half that looks like Gwyndolin is mostly the parts Aldritch hasn't eaten yet and is just puppeting, but that is basically what Aldritch would have looked like without having started eating Gwyndolin yet.

You were wrong about Aldrich, he isn't the entire thing. He is just the sludge bottom part, the body "he looks like" is actually Gywndolin like you said, but he was in the process of eating him when you arrive. He doesn't take the form of who he eats, he just hadn't fully eaten Gywndolin yet (he does get to control them until he fully eats them though)

It's true. Aldrich is still a nasty blob. He's actually the "floor" of the entire arena you fight him in. When he "teleports" after you hit him a few times he actually just sucks Gwyndolin's body into himself (the floor) and spits him back out on the opposite side. He also has a pretty obvious "tail" of sludge and bones that he uses to move around like a snake that is pretty clearly connected to the "floor" (Aldrich). He's using Gwyndolin's body as a sock puppet to fight you.
