The purpose of this video is not harras anybody but just help people understand that it is not ok to copy paste other people's work and release it as yours. And at this point, I really don't know what to do and hoping that this video may help avoid situations like this in the future. 🔴UPDATE: I've talked with Exx Recordings and as suspected, they were not aware of the situation. Stop sharing Project Files.... People will not learn from it anyway if its just in their project . Your videos are awesome and if people are motivated to learn, the can follow the videos, stop it and rebuild it. Thats also where you really learn - by doing not just by seeing in the project. There are many people out there which want to go the easy way - it´s like the DJ´s who play a DJ Set from someone else and turn the buttons for show. They dont care about creating - they want the fame without the process. Shut down your Patreon, stop sharing your project files. This will reduce your income but it will protect your work a lot .

This happened to me! 2010, I was 1 if just 2 places who created templates. I later found out, for every template I put out that i did not release. Another producer 'obviously just learning' , was taking my templates, and just exporting them! And stealing my interlectual property! Not even editing arrangment! t pains me to think this can happen. Those who do this should be named and shamed. Its NOT okay. Anyway, I just wanted to say I stand with you, and you arent alone in this. Its very unjust. The worst thing, Is the way I found out. I was issued a copytight notice on youtube. For my OWN production template. I made a video 'what I was making 10 years ago'. And I was sent a dmca! For a template I made 11 years prior! It left a bad taste in my mouth and truly discouraged me from producing. Nowadays, I save ALL my good productions. And if someone wants to hear my music, Im afraid they will just have to wait until they see me live. Thats how it made me feel inside anyway. And, I really do keep a lot of music off social media. Not just original music. But please, be more careful with what you share. Its an unfortunate reality that there are some producers who just dont care or know how things should be. And they dont expect any response. Anyway, Wishing you well. Stay strong.

If it's remotely popular I get them taken down, because there are legal Presidents regarding those that don't act, using it to show lack of intention to protect your IP. I hear you though, it's miserable having to take time out of making music to police this. I once lost 4 months to a legal case because of bad actors.

A flow on effect of this, Spotify is full of unlicensed remixes of popular songs that block legitimate artists from being discovered by the algorithm . Bootleg remixes have their place, but that’s what platforms like Soundcloud can be for. Unfortunately these songs get pushed quite hard by the Spotify algorithm as I suppose they’re popular with more casual listeners but it’s making it harder to get recommended new music. It would be nice to see Spotify and DSP’s doing more to prevent this

By ‘giving away’ your material for free, and then hoping its use is not abused, shows what a total sweetheart you are, naïve but still a sweetheart! The only thing I can think of is to reinforce the contract by having the files encrypted and a pin is needed - by requesting the pin the user is again warned/informed of the copyright issues and uses of etc as well as leaving a ‘paper’ trail. The other possibility is the files are of low quality and good enough for training and learning but not for release.

You could effectively encode signatures across your samples and tracks, in frequencies above or below audible ranges (or both). Then, if you are questioning whether a track is using your samples/tracks you will be able to discern whether it is a direct rip. It could be by pitching up and down, modifying volume channels, directly reading the amplitude values of the wave formed to map to your name or some kind of personally unique thing, and so on and so on you get the idea. You could do all kinds of things :)

This is a major issue and nobody in the political arena is even talking anything about it. Stealing..interprolation..these platforms are killing aritsts because they can't be sued. Section 230 has GOT to go.

Giddum! Also, especially if you're releasing this stuff, you either have the copyright, or the label that signed it does. It can get fixed

You are the first person I have ever paid for when it came to learning how to write Trance Music. I love your sincerity and you remind me of myself as I watch you stare at your screen when you completely forget that you're recording yourself. I think I may have this track on my liked list on Spotify or I have actually purchased it on Beatport. I have no advice for you but I have nothing but praise for who you are and what you have accomplished. I'm 46 years old and have spent 12 years of my life in a US Florida Prison for literally nothing at all. I can tell you that I am severely jealous of what you have accomplished in your life and just as I started to watch this video it actually brought me to tears. The sad thing is. If you want to share and have people pay to learn they have to get into what it is they are hearing. Just keep being your beautiful self and if you can prove that these people are stealing from you then do what you can for your royalties and make sure everyone in the Universe knows that they are a fake artist and suck as a human being. I can see how much this upsets you and I love that you are sharing this. I believe we all fear being connected to the cloud when writing our own songs and are all waiting for the day this happens to us. I never ever comment on stuff so this is twice you have affected my life to the point of my doing things I never do. How awesome is that?! Lol......Because of you I decided to just invest my money in software plug ins and such. I have owned many synths and keyboards. I have finally seen the light and am now starting to make headway in my writing, all because of you. I hate to say I bought the Beginner Lessons from you but that information alone was worth every penny I spent on it. I took away a few things from those lessons. I think this video will connect with so many people who compose their music on a computer volatile to the eyes of spying hackers and this video alone, I pray, makes up for some of your pain and loss here. Fight back and show these dishonorable people that none of us will tolerate the stealing of our hard written music and it only comes to nothing but embarrassment in the end for those who would do such a thing. You're an amazing song writer and I might always be jealous of what you have accomplished. I know that all things in life are a lot more difficult than they seem from the outside but as an intelligent 46 year old American who has adored trance music his entire life, who has the best taste in music in the universe out of any who are alive, I just want to take this time to let you know how much you have affected my life and how deeply sorry I am that you are going through this. I believe it will end up bringing you more strength and joy in the end and hopefully even more success than had they not stolen from you in the first place. God can take all things that are negative and turn them around for your good. Just know that reward is coming for you and I pray that you read this and take it to heart that Not One single soul on this planet has made me pull out my credit card to buy something other than the creators of FL Studio and other plugins for the creation of music. You. YOU DID THAT in my life. And yes I am that important lol!

Unfortunately this is what happens when you try and help people. Been watching your videos for a few months now and find the really helpful with techniques I’ve not tried, so keep up the good work. With regards to the bad egg, I’d definitely be contacting the label and explaining that their music has breached copyright.

That really sucks.. but there’s allways gonne people like that. But i understand this must be really frustrating especially if you are trying to educate people.. Don’t let it get to you. Keep up the good work!

i've had the one where the track that blew up used the same predrop, the one where a more established artist just happened to use the same title, possibly the one where one of my melodies gets sampled in somebody's trance track, and most likely other things to come. chalking a lot of it up to AI tools stealing from me more than the artists doing such things maliciously but either way it's definitely annoying. If someone's actually trying to put their name on my tracks like verbatim i haven't heard it yet but i wouldn't put it past the whole thing for it to be out there...

Sadly this is a trend in music industry. Big artists ripping off songs, calling it "interpolation". Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran...they all stole parts of other songs and got away with it.

This is such a bummer. It sucks. I am so sad this happens. I guess when you're the best in the class, everyone wants to copy off of you.

One good thing if ppl steal your track or parts of it is, that you really made a nice track. Otherwise ppl would steal nothing. But yes, sure, I also dont like if ppl steal stuf from my tracks and claim it as own. At least, they could just ask to do it, and maybe i say yes :)

I have learned a lot from your projects! Either on structure or sound design! Learning how to produce is a long and challenging road that you need to enjoy! Success will not come overnight, specially if you are stealing others producers credit!

If there is a strict rule in your license agreement that states that none of the samples or sounds are allowed to use for publication under a name other than yours than I would sue their ass.

Alice, I love your work. Don't let the thieves break you. Maybe only release partial project files, or only project files for songs you do not intend for release.

This behaviour needs to be punished. Dont let it pass, go after it, file them. Same for sexism or racism, dont look away, make them pay. And then get back to create unique peaces of art ❤

I suggest you contact the artist directly and ask him to give you credits or the very least kindly ask him/her to take it down, otherwise should pursue legal action.

I think that regardless of the reason behind stealing your songs; keep sharing, but stuff you won't use, or only 8 to 16 bar loops. In the end you won't run out of ideas, they do. Luv U girl.❤

to have your music stolen is proof of your high-level skill within this field. I am sorry people are so lazy, uncreative, and disrespectful. :/

That’s so cool of you to share your project files for educational purposes ❤ have you thought about going down the road of beat licensing? That way you could lease your instrumentals to be used by other artists while being credited properly and paid royalties from their releases, The project files would be an added bonus in that case 🤔 congrats on making art everyone wants to steal! 😅

When you start to be copied, it's a "kind of recognition" of the quality of your own creations. Your passion is to share part of your creations. Others are content to copy stupidly. Difficult, in this case, to prevent profiteers from using your work without compensation. Of course, it's a shame. But this is the world we live in. Thank you for sharing part of your work as you do on your KZbin channel. 👍
