I enjoyed this interview as I think he was very humble during this entire thing. His only brother and I are long time friends. Now he is VERY much a family man. I've enjoyed his concerts when he was with his group Raydio and his solo career. I remember when he bought the house for his parents in Southfield an exclusive upgraded area in Detroit. I'm glad he's doing well and I wish he and his family nothing but the best. 🤗 He truly deserves everything he has because he earned it.

Such a lot of great insight and advice for not only music - but for life too! Whatever you want to do, go after it full force. Even if it fails, you'll atleast know you gave it your all - and that will always give you the courage to try again, try something else, whatever...just keep moving forward like the general he spoke of! I was a big fan of his as a teenager. I loved his voice and James Ingram too! I've recently been listening again to a lot of the 80s R&B...aah memories! So glad Mr. Parker is happy and healthy and still sharing his gifts with us 💕 Thank you!

I find him more handsome now than back then in the 70s and 80s. I wish they would have had in depth interviews like this with artist of the past. Makes them so reaI, and approachable. Takes them off the pedestal fans put famous people on. I really felt like I understood more of his personality and charm, as well as his intellect!! A very likeable guy!!! Kuddos Ray!!

This might have been the best spent half hour in my life. This guy puts more wisdom in one sentence than Kaye West has ever strung together in his entire life. Yes, I am that frustrated old guitarist that has always said he could do it. I am 55 but still feel life hasn't really started yet as I have not gone out there and do what I have always believed was inside me. Ray Parker Jr, you're more inspirational than anyone I have listened to before. This interview should be used in all music lessons around the world!!! BTW, what an incredibly nice guy he is. That was a pretty interesting interview. I was never a real big fan of the "Ghostbusters" song, but i knew about and liked all the other stuff he did - he's played with almost everybody! I saw Ray perform live in Wisconsin some years ago and it was a great show. I'm glad I never tried to be a guitar player because watching and listening to Ray would have hurt my feelings :) A great musician and a nice humble & person, too - good to see that these days!
