Jo is the best teacher I have studied with. He is patient and repetitive, giving us the information needed to create art.

I have been following Jo for a few years now! And I love his workshops! I hope to purchase more when my life once again settles down.This great free two hour workshop on water is invaluable! Even though my background is mostly portrait work, I am growing in landscapes and street scenes. What a great help you are Johannes!!

In the Niagara falls painting the white you circled is in the middle of the work and the top of the main falls is about in the middle. The painting is great and works. Can you address why it works?

You don't have to join the membership option but you would have to create an account to register for the course.

Do you have online classes?
@cindysmac11872 жыл бұрын
Yes. Go to ArtistNetwork [dot] com and click on the tab for Paint Along courses. Every month, Johannes gives 15 hours of fabulous instruction over three Saturdays. Then the recordings are available and yours to access or download forever. Jo teaches principles of art applicable to all mediums and art styles.

I'm sorry mate, but the picture at around 40minutes on your video is perfect, not incorrect as you say, and the water looks like water. it is the perfect photo and captures a moment in time of probably 1/60th of second. When you paint you are painting an image over a longer period of time so therefore with light changing of each minute of the day, reflections and colours work differently, Monet was correct in all his interpretations of light and reflections, coz he studied it. Your opinion, in my opinion, is totally incorrect. You are talking aboout artistic licence, and in this instance you should explain this correctly to your students, not give them BS. Sorry bud, but you are wrong.

Hi ...I unsubscribe... subscribe... frequently watercolour channels on KZbin...because I get frustrated with watercolour and then get attracted by it...so I have continuous love- hate relationship with watercolour...maybe others also identify with this feeling....but it never happens this yo yo with oils and Gouache. Please comment... anyone

Watercolor needs to be tamed. During my online classes this is what is being demonstrated.

Cool, I need to learn this. I also understand the love hate thing. I'm more on love side. Go ahead and make mistakes. We learn from these 😊
