I love the swirly blue around the figures in the first spread, it reminds me of waterbending! Your composition in these two spreads is really lovely and I definitely know what you mean about feeling it in your soul!

Lately I have been struggling with confidence in my art. It feels juvenile and I'm trying hard to push passed this feeling. I believe your comment about confidence and to keep pushing forward. Your tutorials are EXTREMELY helpful !!! Thank you !!!

I find music really helps me in those tough spots. Also, I found Illustrative style perfect for those times I felt like my art was too juvenile. I don't think Illustrative is juvenile at all, but it was a better approach for me rather than trying to make something more realistic. I have a preference for loose and Illustrative style art anyways.

I love how she adds an artistic touch to everything she stylises each piece often people think and tell me that my drawings must look realistic but personally i like cartoons and stylised pieces more. I am not currently happy with my work but I am thinking of starting to be an overall better person (i kinda feel like I'm toxic) you are my inspiration Jess not only for art but to be a better person ❤❤

I didn’t think I could be artistic growing up because my older brother is a great artist. I thought that was his thing and music was mine. I started painting a few years ago though and my stuff’s very different from my brother’s yet very fun to create :) I’m convinced everyone should exercise their creativity because your powers will be unique if you observe yourself carefully!

I started drawing again after 15 years and it's so fun and freeing. I started doing it everyday just exploring different subjects and themes. I even found my old dried watercolors.

I meet a friend, once a week, to sit and sketch. This week, we sat at a picnic bench in our local park and both sketched from some portrait photos I'd made. While there was a little conversation as we went along, this was minimal, and we both just lost ourselves in the process of creating our sketches. It was absolutely lovely, and both of us were really happy with our results.

Did you try to first draw the basic form? Or just like a really quick sketch without details. In the Art-school I’m going to, I always see the “mistake” to concentrate to much on details at first 🤔

TheDaantje1234 Yeah. It‘s helpful to know the anatomy. I’ve started with drawing a geometric human head. Right now I’m still working on faces from different angles... Practice and practice 👀 (Maybe an art teacher would be helpful too?)
