I draw everything freehand. It’s easier for me. But this is something else. This is peak drawing. He even used a razor to cut out the outline before even drawing the picture. I can’t comprehend how he does that.

I've been painting and sketching since the age of 6 or 7 and in 38 now. I took about a 4-year break where I didn't touch anything because of something traumatic I went through and that was from 25 years old 29. So I've been at the so long time. I literally just put away my pad and all of my boxes of materials of 500 + pencils pens and markers not even 10 minutes ago. This is what I love to do. It's my escape. I also teach classes locally. Not only do I not possess a talent anyone close to this but I have personally never come across anybody else too does either. On top of that, I have never seen somebody and draw in shadows. Doesn't do your conventional type of drawing where he deals with outlines and then fills in from there. This guy strictly patterns through discolorations to craft his picture. It's unreal and it is an absolute pleasure to watch it unfold. Oh and to cover what you brought up regarding the ability to compound colors. Of course talent and technique is a big part of this but unless you have quality drawing paper you're not going to get these results. I used to use Strathmore 500 bristol, but a few years ago switch to Legion Stonehenge. More important than the paper, you absolutely need quality colored pencils. I personally use a combination of multiple Kalour and Primacolor sets. Lol but even will all that, I'll never possess even half the ability this savant has in just one of his fingers. Unbelievable.
