I'm a new subscriber. What an awesome tutorial... BUT!...... I have to say, the VERY best part of the whole video seeing a man "put on the brakes" to take a moment with his son!

Hi Theater Professor! I finally found some additional blenders on the AR forum. They don't appear to be exactly what you've got, and I'd still love to find what you've got if possible, but the ones I found are in a pencil pack by Someonesane. I suppose that's why putting the word "blender" in the search box and looking for the word "blender" in post titles wasn't finding them. There is a sentence in a post by someonesane at the link below that will lead to the pack. The sentence says this...... I've put them all into a .arpack which may be downloaded from HERE.....Look for this sentence in the thread and click the word "HERE" and the download comes up. If you ever find the link again to the blenders you have, please, please share! Thanks!! I especially like Blender #2 offered here by Someonesane in his "pencil pack" and it works on the paints and pastels too, not just pencil, which is awesome! To those wanting to find these blenders..... Remember....when you click the link below, find that sentence in Someonesane's post and click the word "HERE." forums.artrage.com/showthread.php?44963-I-need-a-finger-for-my-pencil-work&p=493104&posted=1#post493104 I'm sorry I couldn't figure out how to get to a page that was more cut and dry, but this should get you the blenders in any case.

Thank you. May I ask what I need to do to not have those jagged little lines on the edges of a painting when I print them off? It takes away that authentic painted look when printed. Thanks.

Hi Theater Professor. At around the 18 minute mark you go into the palette knife tool and in the presets box you to into the "Group" box and that opens to a drop down menu where you then have blenders. I just got AR and when I go to the group box nothing opens. I don't have these blenders. Did you get them from somewhere and add them? I would very much love to have them. They would help a lot! And where did you get some of those other brushes that you showed in the brush tool presets box? Thanks! Love your videos!

***** Thank you sooo much for getting back to me and telling me where to look. It might be like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but at least if I know where to look I know I can eventually find them. I wish AR would have just come with blenders like that...it really should since they've got pencil and pastel tools, but thankfully they can be gotten on the forums. Thanks soooo much for the tips and the videos. I hope you keep making more. You rock at it and are a very engaging speaker. You have some of the best videos. I hope you'll make more when you have time and feel inspired. :-)

Fischer Holly Hi Theater Professor, I looked at the posts on the AR forums and have not been able to find the blenders. I didn't open every single post, as most of the titles didn't seem to indicate there were blenders involved, but I did look at the title of EVERY post listed and opened anything I thought could possibly contain them. Any thoughts on how to find them? I seriously probably would not have bought AR if I hadn't seen them in your video, as in the demo version I could tell I wasn't too happy with the blenders that were provided. Not that this is your issue. It isn't, but seeing them in your video made me hope they were in the real version of AR (which they aren't) or that I could find them somewhere...but so far haven't been able too. I did see a couple posts of other people asking if anyone had any better blenders, as they aren't really that happy with the existing ones either, but responses to their queries were that no one knew of any. Of course I know you have some that look more promising. I hope to find them and if you can recall anything at all that could help me locate the post they are in would be appreciated. Thanks again.

you can get a Huion tablet from Walmart if you order online, mine was on rollback for 65$ ive seen the price range from 60-75 there too. It has a nice pen, pressure sensitivity, and no lag, so it's a cheap score.

I noticed your oval shaped cursor (brush) actually rotates on its own when you move the stylus. Mine isn't doing that. Does it depend on the stylus/pad? I recently got my first drawing pad, Wacom Intuos Draw, Maybe it just doesn't have that capability?

This is an excellent video. Very professional. I do not have outrage yet but am considering purchasing the desktop version. This really helps me in my choice.

I actually did just purchase ArtRage and The Theater Professor's videos helped in making that choice. I have used the demo version for a few weeks too, along with learning some things about the program from TTP and finally made the plunge. :-)

***** Overall I love it. I wish it had the capability to build in CMYK, as I do a lot of work for print and building in RGB and then converting to CMYK is a bad way to go about it so I don't feel like I can use it for print work, which is a shame. And I do wish they had better blenders in the program. Aside from those annoyances, I love the program and find it does a lot of really cool things. I love how using the oil paint tool and pastel tool really FEELS like it does when using them in the real medium. That's really cool! Your videos really helped me make the choice to get the program and I appreciate so much that you've made them.

This is an older version of ArtRage, much has changed so that may be part of the differences.

Still amazes me that people can pronounce Wacom incorrectly. You wouldn't pronounce a friend's name wrong so why pronounce the name of the tool you use to make your art wrong.
@TheDigitalPainter8 жыл бұрын
+TheDeceptikron Wonderful point there. I supposed to a certain extent it's ingrained in my head now, though I am trying to adjust how I pronounce it.
