Very Nice Introduction Tutorial to *ArtRage!* You are a nice/quiet/genteel Instructor who would make a great *College* *Art* *Teacher!* I did notice you missed the big beautiful _"Elephant in the Room"_ that was glaring at us in the tool box on the bottom left. Folks, there's a *Text* *Tool* there! This much needed addition (if it is indeed working & fully functional) will make *ArtRage* a *Game* *Changer* against it's rival *ARTFLOW* on Android. The ArtFlow Creator doesn't plan to introduce a Text Tool in the near future, and I can't wait. ArtRage for me (with a working Text Tool) as an *Advertising* *Graphics* *Designer* means I can do - * TV/Movie *Storyboards* with bottom screen captions * Fashion/Costume *Design* *Sketches* with careful notes * *Product* *Design* Rough Comps while on the Subway * Or even *Creative* *Haiku* Illustrated Prose The 4.99 price Tag, for the Android version of ArtRage, sounds way better than the _"forever slave paying subscription crap"_ that's taken over the app world.

Hi Guys & Governors! Frick everything I just said about *Artrage* *for* *Android* . The *4.99* paid version, for Android does *not* come with a *Text* *Tool* . Too Bad I found that out after I greedily happily paid and downloaded the App. On the bright side, Artrage does do just about everything *Artflow* (for Android) does, if you are migrating from that fun but Text *Missing* Drawing/Painting App. Luckily, I studied *Calligraphy* for one year in College, so I'll just sit back and _write carefully_ on both Apps. _Cheers!_

The question I have is this: if money isn't an issue is Artrage-5 as good as Painter 2018? I own Painter 2018, so is Artrage 5, going to give me an added benefit that Painter doesn't? Rebelle version 2 and now, especially Rebelle 3, does so for digital watercolor painting. Not that Painter 2018, isn't as good as Rebelle 3 for digital watercolor painting in most areas but, I find Rebelle 3, to be as good, (if not a hair better), as Painter. Rebelle is also simpler, faster and easier to use than Painter (strictly speaking watercolors). Another Rebelle advantage comes when I want to get away from my Desktop PC and Wacom and sit on my Lazy-Boy chair and paint on my Surface Pro. My point is, Rebelle 3, offers me an added value. This is also part of my question: what added value does Artrage 5, offer me over Painter 2018? I know there's a trial (they're never long enough though, right). When does this program normally go sale? Black-Friday, Christmas, I'm assuming? Any other times of the year? Thanks in advance for any "helpful" comments!

I got lost on the step between pencil drawing and color blocking. Did you add a layer for the orange background? How did you get your color picker to be a palette of colors that match your reference image? Are you able to select

I think he left the orange on the same layer, as he said it would add a warmth to the colors that go on top of it.

Not very good at drawing is there a way just to get the image on the screen so I can paint it like Tracy or transfer the image onto the canvas?

You can work with different layers. Which means that you can put the picture in one layer and draw on another layer. Then you can simply delete the layer with the picture and there are just the outlines left. I mean that is at least the way how I do it all the time

your art is nice and all, but this is not very informative for me. first, I don't see your cursor. second, the interface is minimalictic, but confusing as fuck, because its nothing like any other painting software, I don't undestrand how to change tools, properties and stuff, I see nothing but "oil brush" selected. sorry, not a fan.
