wow, great work. I made a gate for my house last year and decided to make a real nice one, I put it on Facebook and have been doing them for others ever since. after watching your videos I know I have alot to learn. .over your designs.

Did you apply any kind of finish and if so what? The drainage holes you have in the bottom. Do you have issues with insects getting up into the holes? Do you seal them with glue or anything or are there small vent caps you put in the holes?

I really admire the design of your Gate, were the holes on the bottom rail for water drainage after its installed? Would have liked to see how you dadoed that offset in your middle stile. Nice job!

Thanks. Yes, those are drainage holes. To dado the offset, I raised the dado stack the extra height, referencing the lower portion of the stile on the table saw. I then finished the 45 degree portion with a slot bit on the router table. Hope that makes sense. You could also just do it all on the router table, with a slot bit, if thats what works for you.
