There is a death in the middle of the B-52’s Rock Lobster: “Motion in the ocean His air hose broke Lots of trouble Lots of bubble He was in a jam S'in a giant clam” The song goes on in an up beat fashion and the victim is forgotten about while everyone on the beach enjoys the sun in their tanning butter. I like to think this video is a rescue mission for the forgotten diver’s remains in Rock Lobster. Rest In Peace

@@flipmode1237 whew it’s been 8 years since I posted that first comment. honestly it’s still true and I’m not sure I will ever listen to this song enough times to fully satisfy that particular itch in my soul. This is still one of my favorite songs so so many years later. I stumbled across this song right before I went thru one of the most painfully depressive periods of my life so far and I found a lot of peace in the way he delivers this song. The actual melody of the song is a gorgeous marvel in itself. The jazzy saxophone transitions add a touch of spice and the old timey familiar sounding piano and drums backtrack are really just amazingly transcendent. it really does soothe my tired heart and spirit. The calming melancholic melody and that repeated phrase “all I need Is some sunshine” because when I first found this song I was in a time where I really did NEED some sunshine. It felt like I was surrounded by the “black water” and it really did feel like I was drowning. I still feel that heaviness some days but nowhere near as immensely and for different reasons nowadays.

Kalil Jackson thanks Kalil, I appreciate that. I am doing pretty good! Hope you’re doing good too! I’m feeling grateful for what I have everyday, and feeling strong and capable, staying positive, etc. The anxiety I mentioned in my comment is all but a distant memory. I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me 6 years ago that I’d soon be anxiety-free, everyday feeling secure, happy, greatful, positive, self-aware, insightful, & in touch with my intuition. I don’t think the past me even thought it was possible- I probably would’ve thought that personal development was a waste of time and held on to my victim mindset. Now I just wish I had tried it sooner! Every day is a new opportunity to start a new life/a new you. Learning and putting in the work for personal development and self insight is always worth it. And it can help anyone and everyone, even the most depressed or anxious people.
